Nissan Motor Company, Ltd.Shortened to Nissan is a multinational automaker headquartered in Japan. It was formerly a core member of the Nissan Group, but has become more independent after its restructuring under Carlos Ghosn (CEO). It formerly marketed vehicles under the "Datsun" brand name and is one of the largest car manufacturers. The company's main offices are located in the Ginza area of Ch??, Tokyo. In 1999, Nissan entered an alliance with Renault S.A. of France, which owns 44.4% of Nissan as of 2008. Nissan is among the top three Asian (also known as the Japanese Big 3 Automakers) rivals of the "Big Three" in the U.S. Currently they are the third largest Japanese car manufacturer. It also manufactures the Infiniti luxury brand.
The Nissan GT-R is a sports car created by Nissan, released internationally at the beginning of 2008 as a 2009 model. The car was first sold in the Japanese Domestic Market as early as late November of 2007 and is slated to enter the European and US market in the spring of 2008.
The Skyline GT-R became the flagship of Nissan performance, showcasing many advanced technologies including the ATTESA-ETS 4WD system and the Super-HICAS four-wheel steering. The GT-Rs remained inexpensive compared to its European rivals, with a list-price of ¥ 4.5 million (US$ 31,000). Today, the car is popular for import Drag Racing, Circuit Track, Time Attack and events hosted by tuning magazines. The GT-R actually is the winner in the 2007 Tsukuba Time Attack held in Japan-- the M-Speed GT-R ( 9 out of the top 15 cars consists of GT-Rs ). Production of the GT-R officially ceased in August 2002.
The Nissan Wingroad is an automobile available only as a compact station wagon. The first generation (Y10) was originally an estate version of the Nissan Sunny made between 1994 and 1998, but with a different rear end compared to the standard Sunny wagons that were exported.The second series (Y11) began in 1996, once again available only with a station wagon body, sold in the Japanese and Caribbean markets. It is mechanically based on the Sunny B15 but has a different exterior design. The interior design is shared with the Japanese market Nissan Sunny B15 as well. The car slotted in the market between the Bluebird Sylphy and the Primera, available with 1.5 L, 1.8 L and 2.0 L engines. The 1.8 L exists only as a 4WD version. The second generation Wingroad received a facelift in 2001, with a sleeker front end and a new interior.
The Nissan 350Z was a two seat sports car manufactured by Nissan Motor Co, LTD. The 350Z is the fifth generation of Nissan's Z-car line, originally introduced in 1969 (as a 1970 model year) as the Datsun 240Z. The 350Z entered production in late 2002 and was sold and marketed as a 2003 model. It was currently available in several trim packages and is sold as both a coupé and roadster. It was Nissan's only sports car from 2003-08 for North America (and it was the first North American Nissan sports car since the 1998 240SX and 200SX), when the 2009 GT-R and its successor, the 2009 370Z would replace the 350Z as the brand's sole sports cars.
The Nissan Tiida is a compact car with a US EPA midsize car rating, because of its large interior space, manufactured by Japanese automaker Nissan. The Tiida replaces both the long-running Pulsar and the Sunny models by September 30, 2004. Available as the Tiida in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Finland, Ireland, Japan, Middle East, Mauritius, Mexico, Panama, South Africa, former eastern bloc countries, China and Sri Lanka, it is also known in export markets as the Nissan Versa (United States and Canada) and Nissan Latio (Southeast Asia). The Tiida is based on the new global Nissan B platform with the wheelbase stretched.[1] It is available in hatchback and sedan form.
