A Crown of Gold

I dreamed that I saw myself walking in a palace that was mine but it did not feel like it was entirely mine, like I shared ownership of it with someone else. I was wearing my purple princess dress with the bell sleeves and I was walking in a large room that was gray because of its stone floors and stone walls and such. The ceiling of the room was like that of a cathedral, very high.

I came to a circle of tall, slender statues made of what appeared to be simply stone. The statues were of mermaids. Beautiful mermaids with eyes that were left without having their irises or pupils outlined. They were not painted. A few of the statues were broken or cracked. I remember placing my hands lightly upon the top of one of the mermaid statues and thinking, "Brandy would love this place. This shall be her place here someday." (Brandy is my cousin, Sailor Ruby Princess.)

The place was so silent. I walked across the center of the ring of statues and left it behind as I went to explore the rest of the palace. I rested one hand on the side of a huge stone column. Suddenly, I felt myself being pulled back with blinding speed to the front of the mermaid statue ring and being lifted up about 5 or 6 feet into the air! Then I FLOATED backward as gold glitter sparkled around me and I saw to my amazement, a gold crown just appear and come to rest on my head. I began to float down then and I came to rest upon a throne that had appeared out of nowhere when I had first started to float and had come to rest within the ring of statues. I was stunned. The gold glitter was gone just as suddenly as it had come.

That crown was so lovely. It was gold, solid gold, and it looked as though that lovely gold glitter that had surrounded me as I floated had all come together to rest within the crown somehow. If I moved my head even a little bit, the crown sent out so many sparkles of light that it made almost a halo around me. The sparkles were not like anything on this planet. Not like the sparkle of anything I have ever seen here. It was golden, a rich citrine color gold, as the light hit it. It was a crown of gold but nothing like the gold of Earth.

Then, I know I was in the same place, only outside. I was outside walking alone and it was almost dark. It was so close to being night that everything was starting to become muted blue. I saw and heard and smelled water pouring from a stone fountain on a pedestal in the center of a stone patio that had two benches on it. I seemed to have been just coming out of the palace. I had the crown on my head but the focus seemed to be on the fountain which was of a mask and a rose....

Then, suddenly, I found myself outside of a cavern-like tunnel. At one end of it was the castle or palace of one of the princesses and at the other end of it was a beautiful pond. Natural rocks and boulders lined the back and sides of it. They were the color of sand. The water was calm and there was some sort of entertainment going on. I remember seeing women dressed in long white dresses waving long white see-through scarves slowly around. They were also wearing see-through gloves and they had white feathers on their heads in a ray formation! It was so exotic looking! I think this was during some sort of party, a dinner party maybe?

Natural shadows were cast on the women in white as they stood on what appeared to be round glass table tops that were on the water's surface but not floating around on it at all! Jets of water served as a sort of background for the performers. The sun shone not too brightly on the back of the pond and the boulders and rocks. I guess the sun must have been going down. I was spellbound by the scene.

Then, I remember seeing one woman in particular that was supposed to be the centerpiece of the performance, come out of a door that was within one of the boulders and lift up her long skirts so that she could sift silently around to in front of where I was standing. Her dress had a train that rippled as she walked. She was slender and very feminine. She was lovely.

The woman tripped on her train and fell into the pond right in front of where I was standing. I gasped as did many of the other people that were standing near me. I believe they were the other princesses and maybe...princes? The woman found her footing in the pond and stood up. She wiped her face with her hands and then I saw the man standing on a bigger glass circle behind her. He offered her his hand and she gladly took it. He pulled the woman in white onto the glass circle. She was standing on his right as she turned to face us, the audience. She smiled brightly and so did the guy and they waved.

I then saw a little girl that came to stand at my side. She had long straight hair that fell down to her waist and she looked as though she was no more than 5 or 6 years old. Her hair was a strange color. It was brown and yet it had an orange tint to it. The girl's eyes were a haunting blue. Their color resembled water or maybe the sky on certain days. It was a very light blue that was not gray or silver but almost clear and yet blue.

I bent over to clasp the girl's shoulders and smile at someone standing in front of us. I looked so happy! My purple bell-shaped sleeves drooped down behind the child and I remember seeing my lovely hair shining in the light. I was still wearing the golden crown! It was sparkling in the light and I could feel someone smiling at us. The child was smiling brightly. I straightened and let the little girl dart off to amuse herself.

The scene changed but the dream was still the same one. I saw myself standing next to the Prince of Glenn. We were standing within the palace's dining room. No one was in there with us. The party was still going on outside. I knew at once that the child and I had been smiling at him when we were outside.

There were strange contraptions lining the tables that made a whirring noise. They looked like scales, only the two brass "plates", I guess you could call them, were filled with water and they poured water back and forth between them so that one of the "plates" always had water in it. Interesting but why were they on the table like they were?

The Prince of Glenn was worried and a bit irritated with me. I could not seem to help it but I couldn't stop studying him! That made him get even more irritated with me but I could not help it! He was no longer a prince but a king. I felt it because first of all, I knew we were married in this dream. I just knew it. I even THOUGHT it in the dream.

He was wearing a white shirt like he wore as a prince only where the gold braid used to be on the sleeves and collar, there was gold embroidery, the exact gold color of my crown (which I was wearing). The embroidery sparkled exactly the same way as the gold crown I wore did. The embroidery went around the cuffs of the shirt too and I couldn't stop looking at the sparkles! They were like nothing I'd ever seen in my waking life! I can't exactly remember what the front of the shirt looked like because I was staring at the sleeves mostly. I did not see the back of the shirt unfortunately. I remember that the waist of the shirt came in like the military uniforms often do. The pants of his outfit were also white and just like the ones he wore as a prince except where the gold braid was before on the outer sides of the pants, there was that gold embroidery that sparkled! I'm sure he was wearing white shoes but I can't remember seeing them because like I said before, I was staring at his sleeves. He was not wearing white gloves because I remember seeing his hands and oddly enough, he was not wearing a crown.

So as he fussed at me...I was not listening because I knew while I was dreaming this that it was a dream and everything was so fascinating to me because of this. I was trying my best to take in everything I could of the scene but the sparkling embroidery on the sleeves of the king's shirt held my attention. The king was finally able to snap me out of my trance-like state with his hateful tone of voice. I knew he was really upset so I pulled myself together enough to interpret what he was being so nasty about. I heard him say, "Where is she?! Where is our daughter?!"

I frowned and pointed without even looking where I was pointing. I just knew where the little girl was without even thinking. It was so odd. The king turned in the direction I was pointing and I turned to look too.

Down a short hall, there was a doorway to the right from our viewpoint. The little girl with the straight orange-brown hair was standing in front of Sailor Neptune who was kneeling in Sailor form behind her. Sailor Neptune looked sort of sad or worried that she might be the reason for the yelling, it seemed, because the corners of her mouth drooped slightly.

The little girl then came running toward us shouting, "Mommy!!! Daddy!!!" I was not surprised to see her at all but the king seemed to be. I said to him, "You worry too much." He didn't respond to that as he lifted the child into his arms. He simply said to me, "I'm sorry that I yelled at you." Then, sadly, I woke up!
