Chapter Fourteen

"Howie can we continue where we left off before?" Jen said smiling as they walked in the door.

"And where might that be?" Howie put their coats on the rack.

"I’d say right about here." Jen pulled Howie tight against her and kissed him. Howie stepped back against the door pushing it closed. Jen carefully unbuttoned his Armani shirt and pulled it off along with his undershirt.

"You sure?" Howie asked quietly.

Jen nodded and kissed him as if to say ‘shut up and just go along with it you fool’. She stared at his eyes before going any further. She could just stare at them forever. Howie looked back and allowed her to study him. It seemed as though she learned so much about him just by looking in his eyes.

She studied his nose and mouth. She let her smooth fingertips caress his chest as though she was memorizing his body. She wrapped her arms around him and felt every bump and all curves to be felt. He just stood there and watched her every move.

He then wrapped his arms around her and slowly unzipped her dress and allowed it to fall to the floor. He kissed her neck and face. As he did so he ever so slowly unhooked her bra and that too dropped to the floor. He studied her. He wasn’t sure why but something urged him to study and memorize her body and contours.

Then she reached down and unhooked his belt and undid his pants allowing them to fall slowly to the floor. He lifted her up and carried her into his room. He set her softly on the bed, lowered himself down beside her and pulled the covers over their heads.

The next morning Jen awoke to find herself face to face with Howie. He was looking at her. She snuggled into the contours of his body and he put his arms around her. "I love you Jen, and I always will." Howie whispered in her ear. "I love you too Howie." Jen kissed his arm and turned to look at him.

"I wish we could stay like this forever."

"Together? Or TOGETHER?" Jen asked jokingly.

"I’d say both. How would you like to be Jenny Dorough?"

"Is that a proposal or just a statement to be fulfilled later?"

"I’d say proposal." Howie said pulling an engagement ring from inside his nightstand.

Jen began to cry. "You really mean it?"

"Of course I mean it. I love you. What do you say?"

"Yes… I say yes." They kissed and Howie slipped the ring on her finger.

"Don’t worry I won’t make you get married tomorrow night. We can plan and do all those wedding type things."

Jen wiped away her tears and kissed Howie. She kissed him like she would never see him again. She kissed him with all her heart.

"Oh yeah! I’m the D-mister!" Howie yelled. They began to laugh and soon were hysterical.

"I love you Jen." Howie gasped out between bursts of laughter.

"I love you too Howie." She kissed him and pulled on her robe to go make breakfast.
