"Girl! You have to be kidding me! That's just some kid acting like Aaron Aaron's just a scrawny kid." Caden, Jess' brother kidded when she brought home the pictures from the ice cream parlor.
"Caden, SHUT UP! He's a sweetheart."
"Uh-o, you've got a crush on a pop star all my work was a disaster."
"Caden if you say one more thing!" Jess warned.
"Fine, call him. Tell him you got them developed."
"I can't. I'm too shy."
"You seriously expect me to believe that crap?" he handed her the phone.
"Fine, I'll call, leave me alone."
"Only once I know you called HIM."
Jess dialed Aaron's number, which by this point she had looked at his card enough to know it by heart.
"Hello Aaron's cell you've got questions we've got answers,” said a voice. "Hello, is this Aaron?" Jess said nervously trying not to laugh.
"No, but he'll be back in a sec, he went to get the mail."
"Oh thank you." she turned to her brother and mouthed 'leave'.
"I'm going." he walked to his room and closed the door.
"Hello? Who is this?" Aaron had obviously run in.
"Um, this is Jess from the,"
Aaron cut her off, "Oh my god! Jess, how are you?"
"I'm fine. Got the pictures developed?"
"Oh good." He was rummaging through the mail, "Oh god no! NICK! NICK!"
"Aaron, what's wrong?" Jess asked anxiously.
"Nick! Mom did it!"
"Aaron! What's wrong?!" Jess yelled.
"Oh god Jess, I'm sorry, I'll call you back later, I promise. Please forgive me."
"Um, ok, bye." She hung up the phone.
Back at the Carter household Aaron was freaking out, "Nick! They're talking me to court!"
"Are you serious?" Nick walked into the living room eating an apple.
"Yes the papers are right here."
Nick took the papers from Aaron. After looking them over Nick said sadly, "Bro, this means you can't do the tour."
"I know, and I can't stay here alone either."
"I'll be back, you sit down and relax."
Aaron called Jess back, "Is Jess there?"
"Yeah let me get her. Who is this?"
Aaron didn't think he should say he was Aaron Carter, "Um, Carter" he looked down at a magazine, Jack from Will & Grace was on the cover, "Jack Carter."
"Ok Jack." Aaron heard the phone being set down and someone walking away.
"Hey Carter." Jess said picking up the phone.
"Sorry about that Jess."
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I guess. I just got served court papers."
"Why? From who?"
"My parents."
"Ouch."
"Yeah but I kind of told Angel to tell them they could sue me if they had to."
"Aaron, I'm sorry."
"Yeah, I can't go on tour now either."
"That really sucks."
"Was that your bro who answered?" Aaron changed the subject.
"Yeah, Caden. He's five years older than me."
"In college?"
"Uh-huh. Home for a few weeks."
"You'll be a junior too, right?"
"Yeah."
"Aaron!" Nick came running down the stairs.
"Uh I gotta go Jess."
"Bye."
"Bye." Aaron hung up the phone and turned to Nick.
"Shorty said you could keep her company."
"Really?"
"Yeah, and she got a job. The school hired her as the drama and choral director." Nick smiled.
"That's great, now I have to go register for school."
"I'll drive you right now, while there's still time."
"Ok."
"Hey baby! We're going to the school to register Aaron! Do you wanna come?" Nick yelled upstairs.
"I'll be right down!"
They set off to the school and registered Aaron.
"Is there any more questions about the security or anything?"
"Nope."
"Ok then, is there any other name you would like to be known as?"
"Um, how about either Carter or Jack."
Nick stifled a laugh.
"Ok then see you in school."
"Jack, why Jack?" Nick asked as they walked out.
"So Jess knows who I am."
"Ok then whatever you say."
The next few days were filled with packing and getting ready for the tour.
"Come on 'Lise! It's time to leave!" A.J. had the car loaded and ready to go.
"I'm coming!" she ran to the car.
"I'm gonna miss you so much." A.J. said as they drove.
"I know."
"Both of you." he kissed her forehead without taking his eyes off the road.
When they arrived at the airport everyone else was already they’re saying their good-byes.
Fans had been watching as Kevin kissed Kristin and Grace goodbye.
"A.J.!" they screamed noticing the couple that just entered.
"I'm sorry I would stop but I've got a flight to catch." He quickly shook a few hands and he and Elise walked towards the terminal.
"You'll call when you get there, right?"
"Of course."
Brian, Leighanne, Nick, Erica and Kevin had already boarded the plane.
Elise flung her arms around A.J. "I love you." she kissed him and pulled back, "We both love you."
A.J. pulled her tight against him and kissed her passionately, "Goodbye, I love you!" he ran onto the plane.
Elise lowered herself into a chair and began to cry silently. "You ok?" Kristin asked sitting down next to her.
"Yeah thank god I won't be stuck alone."
"Thank god for Aaron." Kristin smiled and helped her friend up and they left.
