| Oregon Web Foot: Heres my engraving of the oldie rarity 4 ORE- LCCE-5. The only major difference in this coin and the orginal is my small initials on the border. Because its so close to the orginal I have gone to the added trouble and expense to stamp the back of everyone with a "C" for copy. These are available for $1 each on coppers plus postage. | Orginal ORE-LCCE-5 rolled in 1905 at the Oregon Lewis and Clark Exposition. because of the large amounts of rain the pacfic northwest receives the residents there are often said to have webfeet. During the exposition the frog became one of the symbols or logos of the LCCE appearing on not only elongateds but on many other souvenirs including spoons. You may also see a duck used as the webfoot symbol. I've seen this coin sell in the $70-$120 price range. |
