Um Pouco de História

Minha Mãe nasceu neste pequeno torrão encantado entre lindas montanhas altaneiras.

Foi Baptizada na pequena Capela, e nela também casou e  baptizou 7 dos seus 9 filhos.

Mesmo depois de ir residir na cidade do Funchal, continuou a visitar a sua terra natal.  Muitos verões passámos ali, assim como outros períodos de férias.  Ela muitas vezes lá voltava sempre que a saudade a chamava para o seu torrão natal.

A Little Bit of History

My Mother was born in this tiny, enchanted town embraced by beautiful high montains.

She was baptized in the little Chapel, as well as she got married and baptized 7 of her 9 children there.

Even after she moved to the city of Funchal, she always came back to her hometown.  We spent summers there, as well as other vacations and holidays.  She went there often, when she felt the "saudade" for her town was calling her.
