Tomb of the Mutilated

I first heard of Cannibal Corpse through a friend who made me listen to Tomb of the Mutilated. It was the first time I heard death metal. It freaked me out at first. But soon enough songs like Hammer Smashed Face and I Cum Blood  took hold of me . Those songs are still one of my favorite songs. At that time I was more into the music than into this new guttural  kind of vocals, but I soon caught on to Chris Barnes' unique vocals. I highly recomend this album to new fans it's a masterpiece!

Eaten Back to Life

Eaten Back to Life was my first Cannibal Corpse cd. I never heard it before buying it so I was a bit disappointed with the vocals not being the same as Tomb. I got used to it pretty fast and this is also still one of my favorite albums, with songs like Mangled, Put them to Death, and the classic Skull Full of Maggots. Most importantly this album holds my favorite Corpse song: Buried in the Backyard. This is the kind of song that makes you wanna burst with adrenaline. (will they ever play it live!?!?) This album is a must for all fans.

Vile

The release of Vile marked the beginning of the new Cannibal Corpse with the departure of vocalist Chris Barnes and arrival of vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. At first I was not into it 'cause I loved Chris' vocals, but I decided to buy it anyway. I was blown away with Devoured by Vermin. I realized that they had found a great replacement in Corpsegrinder (ex-Monstrosity). His vocals were different but fitted the music perfectly, even with the old songs. My favorite songs on the album are: Perverse Suffering, Puncture Wound Massacre, and Devoured by Vermin. I`m sure all of you have this album so it`s no use saying  this is also a must!!!

Here is a pic of Corpsegrinder in action

Bloodthirst

Tuesday 12/10/99. I called my local cd store to know if they were gonna get the new Cannibal Corpse album (Bloodthirst) uncensored on the 19th. The guy said it was already out and they had it uncensored (what a pleasant surprise!). I left work early to go and get it. I had already heard a song from the album in mp3; Pounded Into Dust, and thought it was great. The album fuckin' kicks ass!!!! I heard it was supposed to be faster than Gallery of Suicide but I found it to be equally as fast. They can't get faster than Tomb (is it possible?). The album follows in the same vein as Gallery with pretty much the same sound and song structure. My favorite songs are : Pounded Into Dust, The Spine Splitter (what an exchange of solos!!!), Unleashing the Bloodthirsty, and Coffinfeeder. I hope they will play those on tour. If you don't already have the new album go get it, it rules!!!
