King Diamond
The King
Conspiracy

Conspiracy was my first King Diamond album. I was looking around in a music store when I stumbled on Conspiracy. I thought "man this guy looks demonic!" So I bought it! Of course I never heard it before, so when I put it in my walkman I thought the music was pretty good but when I heard the vocals... "what the fuck is this shit!" After thinking that I wasn't going to waste my 15 bucks I gave it a few listens. After a while I got into it. Especially At the Graves and Sleepless Nights. At that point I decided to look at the lyrics. To my surprise all the songs were related and told a story..."Wow! what a cool concept" This album is one of the best of King's with Laroque's hell bent solos and King's high pitched(opera like) vocals this album rules! The album has a gloomy horror feel to it and some songs like Cremation have a satanic feel to them. I think this must be Laroque's best work with King and I think he stands out as one of the best heavy metal guitarists. No wonder Chuck Schuldiner recruited him for Death's Individual Thought Patterns album. My favorite songs on Conspiracy are Victimized, Sleepless Nights, At The Graves, and Cremation. After listenning to the album for a good while I just had to know the beginning of the story so I went out and bought "Them" which is also a great album.
Now I think I'm good for a cup of tea...
