1987 was a busy year for My Little Pony. Several My Little Ponies were released such as the Sunday Best Ponies, Magic Message Ponies, Sweetberry Ponies Ponies, Summer Wing Ponies, and many more other My Little Ponies. Happy Tails Ponies and Brush n' Grow Ponies were also released for the first time in 1987. Each of these ponies could do something special with their tails. If you squeezed a Happy Tails Pony on it's side, it's tail would twirl. If you brushed a Brush n' Grow Pony's tail, it would "grow," but only to a certain length. You could shorten the hair by twisting the pony's neck back and forth. These ponies were certainly different from the average My Little Pony and could easily fascinate children. Summer Wing Ponies were much like Flutter Ponies except that their wings were colorful. Instead of having see-through wings, such as the Flutter Ponies had, Summer Wing Ponies had wings that resembled a butterfly's wings. Like the Flutter Ponies, the Summer Wing Pony's wings were also easily breakable. Summerwing ponies with their wings still attached are highly sought after and if you find one, you should certainly snatch it. Water Color Baby Sea Ponies had hair that could change color in water. One streak in their hair would change to pink when put in the water. Pretty cool, huh?  |
