Sentinel
fan fiction by Vyola
When last we left our boys, Buffy, in her story "What's a Heaven For?", was considering the logistical problems posed by their height difference. Jim had a flashback:

When Jim was growing up, he'd had neighbors with two dogs.
Mitzy had been a black lab with a sweet and indolent disposition.
George the dachshund, on the other hand, saw himself as the
Casanova of the canine world; and at least until their owners had
both animals Attended To, it was a common sight to see George
leaping wildly in the air, trying with all the power in his stubby little
legs to make contact with his beloved. It was only Jim's deep,
eternal, passionate love for Blair that allowed the sentinel to keep
that image firmly out of his mind.
Now, I wondered, what if he shared that image with Blair?

Puppy Love

(PG-13)

"A dachshund? You're comparing me to a small, yippy dog?" Blair was not amused.

Jim tried to backpedal. "No! I just meant -- "

"Not another word!" Jim watched the smaller man stalk away and heard him pulling out pots and pans for dinner. This probably wouldn't be a good time to mention that little George the dachshund had always banged his water dish around when he sulked, making noises remarkably similar to those now emanating from the kitchen.

Dinner was conducted mostly in silence, as Jim's every conversational gambit was met with a growl.

Finally it was time for bed. Jim watched Blair get ready, an indecipherable expression on his usually readable face. Just when he was about to try to apologize again, he found himself tumbled onto the bed, Blair heavy on his back.

"I guess this means I'm forgiven?" he asked, feeling the evidence of Blair's arousal against him.

"Yeah, I guess you are. After all, if I'm George in this scenario, then you're Mitzy the bitch."

Jim was so relieved to hear a reasonable tone from Blair that it took him a minute to actually process the comment. "Hey!"

His only answer was a wet lick in his ear.
