First issued and adopted for circulation only in the liberation's zone (Northern of Laos) and later was replaced the Royal Lao Kip (old Kip) on June 15, 1976 at the rate of one new to 20 old Kip and was withdrawn from circulation in 1980.
	Scene of the Pathet Lao military forces had advanced to the frontier and carrying large quantities of equipment.
