ROBERTO RAMIREZ, guitar and voice
Roberto Ramirez was raised in the Rio Grande Valley and grew up listening and learning traditional Latin-American Music,  trained in clasical piano at the age of eight and seeing his cousins from Corpus Christi, Texas, playing with Tejano bands, he decided it was too difficult to carry the piano over to his friends for jamm sessions and decide to teach himself to play guitar. Choosing to learn traditional Latin-American Music from his uncles and cousins and from his friends the sound of blues and rock-n-roll, it was easy for him to decide to make music his life long profession.
When his family moved to Houston, Texas, he began an extensive career playing in Pop, Rock-n-Roll and Country Bands. Ramirez soon beging songwritting and form his own original band, producing and performing in nationally recognized studios, not only his original music, but also back-up for several touring artists such as: B.J. Thomas, Alan Watson , Janie Fricke and many others. Later he moved to Little Rock where he formed the  "Rockusaurus" band with musician Ron Jones. Ramirez has an extensive repertoire ranging from pop, jazz, latin, country and plays popular cover songs from the 20's to the 60'S.

He enjoys watching the crowd have a good time whether dancing or singing along. He resides now  in Corpus Christi, Texas,  with his wife Monte Ramirez, who does back-up vocals with him. He resides now in Corpus Christi, Texas and freelances in the area. In his own words Robert Ramirez have learned that "music like a smile, is the same in any language..."
