Inequality

This essay relates to the concepts of equality and discrimination.....and whether or not whatever was equal and therefore to not be discriminated against instead now IS unequal and thus TO be discriminated against.

The quality and utilization of: discrimination (along with the word itself) has lamentably gotten a bad connotation in recent years. That has maligned and disrupted proper understanding, usefulness, and application of the word and concept of: equality. The consequences have been devastating and deplorable, because both in natural choices within our environment and within Holy Scripture, proper discrimination is absolutely necessary for humankind survival.

It should be obvious, even from a preliminary and superficial analysis, that humans (with their five senses) must discriminate between what in their environment is safe vs what is dangerous, what is helpful vs what is harmful, what is edible vs what is poisonous, what causes health vs. what causes disease, what accomodates mobility vs what causes disability or handicap.

Some would purport that a better word than "discrimination" would instead be "discretion" or to make "distinction." To be "selective" and exercise "choice."

However, such pseudo-synonymns are not appropriate as replacements, because choosing discretionary decisions of selective distinctions invaribly results in either a positive acceptance or instead negative rejection....never both. For example, when one sees a red stoplight, one in effect discriminates positively for stopping and discriminates negatively for continuing through the red stoplight. And when the light changes to green, one discriminates positively for going through and discriminates negatively for stopping instead.

Such discrimination constantly and rightfully occurs a myriad number of times for each person 24/7 involving not merely their preferences (which, even then, are either positive and accepting, or instead negative and rejecting)...but especially in phenomena involving their very continuing existence as cognizant lifeforms.

Discrimination understandably occurs constantly by each scentient person every day pertaining to being for or against, accepting or rejecting, the acquisition or purchase of different types and brands of vehicles (plus replacement parts and service centers), groceries, clothing, housing, jobs, geographic residential locations, vacation spots, hobbies, communication equipment, spouse applicants, recreational activities, schools, religions, scientific explorations.....practically everything there is within the environment to discriminatingly either rightly or wrongly support or oppose for each individual.

Much of the disdain adainst discrimination and inequality over the years, particularly involving interpersonal human relationships, has been caused and motivated by selfishness, greed, abuse, jealousy, malice, and so forth. Certainly, other terms have described such, as for instance: indiscretion, insensitivity, indifference, prejudice, bigotry, etc.

Many of the previously-stated words have been used concerning defiant and rebellious support plus radical activist promotion of certain aberrant types of dysfunctional (or, better yet: sinful) human behavior, such as chauvenistic feminist sexism ("equal rights and equal opportunity for women"), homosexuality of effeminate and sodomites ("human rights for gays and lesbians"), porn and prostitution ("non-censored freedom-of-speech expression of adult art and consentual lovemaking"), evolution mythology ("origins science"), and similar deviations away from rationality and reason.

To correctly discern and discriminate what the Creator (as revealed in His Holy Bible) wants regarding when to discriminate for something, in stark contrast to what He wants concerning when to discriminate against something, we find paradoxical (though not contradictory) examples of both the positive and negative with such PARTIALITY passages as:

De 16:19 You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality; and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous.

2Ch 19:7 Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed what you do, for there is no perversion of justice with the LORD our God, or partiality, or taking bribes."

Job 13:8 Will you show partiality toward him, will you plead the case for God?

Job 13:10 He will surely rebuke you if in secret you show partiality.

Job 32:21 I will not show partiality to any person or use flattery toward any man.

Job 34:19 who shows no partiality to princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

Ps 82:2 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?

Pr 24:23 These also are sayings of the wise. Partiality in judging is not good.

Pr 28:21 To show partiality is not good; but for a piece of bread a man will do wrong.

Isa 3:9 Their partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom, they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil upon themselves.

Mal 2:9 and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you have not kept my ways but have shown partiality in your instruction."

Ac 10:34 And Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality,

Ro 2:11 For God shows no partiality.

Ga 2:6 And from those who were reputed to be something (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality) --those, I say, who were of repute added nothing to me;

Eph 6:9 Masters, do the same to them, and forbear threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him.

Col 3:25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.

1Ti 5:21 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without favor, doing nothing from partiality.

Jas 2:1 My brethren, show no partiality as you hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.

Jas 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

And Scriptural passages describing DISTINCTION:

Ex 9:4 But the LORD will make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, so that nothing shall die of all that belongs to the people of Israel.

Ex 11:7 But against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, not a dog shall growl; that you may know that the LORD makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.

Le 11:47 to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean and between the living creature that may be eaten and the living creature that may not be eaten.

Le 20:25 You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.

Eze 22:26 Her priests have done violence to my law and have profaned my holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and they have disregarded my sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

Ac 11:12 And the Spirit told me to go with them, making no distinction. These six brethren also accompanied me, and we entered the man's house.

Ac 15:9 and he made no distinction between us and them, but cleansed their hearts by faith.

Ro 3:22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction;

Ro 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him.

And when or when not to DISTINGUISH for or against whatever:

Le 10:10 You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean;

Ezr 3:13 so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people's weeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard afar.

Eze 44:23 They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

Mal 3:18 Then once more you shall distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their faculties trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.

When and for or against what to DISCERN:

De 32:29 If they were wise, they would understand this, they would discern their latter end!

2Sa 19:35 I am this day eighty years old; can I discern what is pleasant and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats or what he drinks? Can I still listen to the voice of singing men and singing women? Why then should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?

1Ki 3:9 Give thy servant therefore an understanding mind to govern thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to govern this thy great people?"

1Ki 3:11 And God said to him, "Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right,

To have DISCERNMENT:

Pr 16:21 The wise of heart is called a man of discernment, and pleasant speech increases persuasiveness.

Isa 27:11 When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, he that formed them will show them no favor.

Isa 29:14 therefore, behold, I will again do marvelous things with this people, wonderful and marvelous; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hid."

Isa 44:19 No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, "Half of it I burned in the fire, I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted flesh and have eaten; and shall I make the residue of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?"

Php 1:9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment,

Enabling the wise to have DISCRETION:

1Ch 22:12 Only, may the LORD grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

2Ch 2:12 Huram also said, "Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, endued with discretion and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD, and a royal palace for himself.

All this relates to what a person discriminatingly decides to CHOOSE or not CHOOSE:

Sometimes the Bible indicates when no discrimination is required, and all should share or be treated ALIKE:

Job 21:26 They lie down alike in the dust, and the worms cover them.

Ps 14:3 They have all gone astray, they are all alike corrupt; there is none that does good, no, not one.

Ps 49:10 Yea, he shall see that even the wise die, the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.

1Co 15:39 For not all flesh is alike, but there is one kind for men, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.

The babblings and blatterings of the satanic and depraved - whether they subtly insinuate, suggest, or infer.....or instead blatantly, rabidly, and forcefully demand.....the absence of discretion, discernment, distinction, and discrimination - are clearly contrary against the plethoria of previously-mentioned Scripture references. Biblical insight plainly reveals who is on God's side (in fact) vs who (in reality) is against Him (whether or not the belligerantly froward are temporarily and reluctantly made to righteously conform by the rod of Christian-influence circumstances and civil/government law restraining them to various degrees in sundry ways for the time being).
