Too many people have a "correctional"-facility immentality for and in support of relentlessly-impenitent hardened criminals who clearly have no absolutely NO correctional intentions. There are, in reality, both men and women who will NOT repent of the evil of their misdoings. Pertaining to detention and confinement against (not "for") such, punishment and NOT "correction" nor "reform" is the acceptable term to apply, and neither "correctional facilities" nor "reformatories" are proper answers of society concerning such.

Frequently-televised and depicable fear-of-men/fear-of-Satan cowardly wimps (in compromising response to a hideous tragedy inflicted by some satanically-possessed crazy) blasphemously play God and pretend to be God themselves by stating carte-blanche unconditional forgiveness to those not deserving any forgiveness and who even God does not forgive, either now or ever. "Who are we to judge?" such demented and malicious judges misadjudicate and mutter with their self-righteous self-appointed pronouncements of across-the-board absolution.

"Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord" they piously and hatefully crow to condemn those who are of a retribution-advocating Christ-like righteous mindset of true and genuine justice. Such fool heretics fail to remember that the Lord frequently has and yet does deliver lethal judgement through His Romans-chapter-13 non-self-appointed minister the police, sheriffs, marshalls, and military soldiers.

The Old Testament is loaded with lengthy examples of God's authentically-commissioned servants performing mortal vengeance against wicked aggressors who intend to harm or destroy the peace-loving around them (which peace-loving innocents should be left alone and not bothered, disabled, nor murdered).

Consider the cases of wicked aggressor Lucifer and his demonic host making war against Michael and the holy angels, the evil-aggressor and Lucifer-embodied serpent in the Garden of Eden misinforming Eve about God's Word and will (causing her errant behavior and fateful far-reaching consequences for her, her husband, and everyone thereafter).

Remember how pre-Flood wicked aggressors grew so powerful that they would have destroyed that one group of still-faithful eight people related to shipbuilder and zookeeper Noah, which wicked immoral majority were dealt the sudden panic of a suffocating worldwide flood from a vengeful God that simply would not stop until all the perverts had been annihilated.

Ditto concerning sodomite aggressors wanting to rape Lot's angelic visitors, and the wrath of a retaliatory God who incinerated both Sodom and Gomorrah with sudden and definitive fiery brimstone. Recall the wicked aggressor Pharoah who both murdered Hebrew boys and would have continued had it not been for the vengeful God drowning him and his army in the previously-opened Red Sea. Joshua and the Jews simply wanted to pass through deserts of others to the promised land, but evil aggressors instead set out to destroy them but instead were destroyed themselves in righteous self-defense, ordered and assisted by a vengeful God. Samuel himself hewed the wicked aggressor Agag in pieces before an approving wrathful justice-insuring God. Elijah slew the 450 prophets of Baal in God-approved vengeance. David cut off the wicked aggressor Goliath's head. A vengeful God gave Elijah power to mortally call down fire from heaven against two 50-soldier bands of Ahab's National Guard. A vengeful angel of the Lord exterminated 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night.

Lest we stupidly and grievously misthink that an Old-Testament vengeful-servants-of-the-LORD dispensation has been replaced by a New-Testament turn-the-other-cheek pablum-pussyfooting forgiveness of "unconditional love," the shocking and enlightening prelude of a mere-wrong-motives-and-words-based dropping down dead of Ananias, Sapphira, and Herod in the New Testament book of Acts....is to be followed by a horrifying and almost-incredible postlude of the ultimate blood-and-guts Mother of all Executions against all wicked aggressors worldwide who are gathered and allied against Jesus Christ - done by the gentle Lamb of God Himself with the sword that issues from His mouth at His second coming.

The New Testament is - by intentional design - much shorter and devoid of the numerous and extensive stories of mortal military conquest, sexual escapades, and so on copious present throughout the Old Testament. The main thrust of the New Testament is to prove that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Redeemer, and to display His directives and doctrines for compliant and obedient disciples (though much of the same found throughout the Old Testament). That, however, does not mean that the God of Vengeance and his vengeance-working servants are non-existent from there on. Again, by the end of the New Testament as revealed in the book of Revelation, the ultimate blood-and-guts mother of all executions against all wicked aggressors worldwide who are gathered and allied against Him is done by the gentle Lamb of God Himself with the sword that issues from His mouth at His second coming.

In example after example after example, God worked his vengeful and lethal justice through human law-enforcers and righteous executioners. We have our own continuing post-canonical medieval and modern history of the Triune God wreaking His righteous revenge through both his military and civilian saints (when He does not do such Himself with terrifying "acts of God").

Consider the myriad wicked-aggressor-caused robberies, murders, wars, casualties...nevertheless resolved in victories supported by and credited to the vengeful Almighty God of Justice.

My favorite actors and shows were never The Lone Ranger, The Cisco Kid, Batman, Superman, nor any other in which the bad guys were simply arrested, momentarily held by the cops, put away for a while, and then returned to impose more and even worse diabolical mischief and destruction against the general population. On the other hand, the actors John Wayne, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, etc. who I enjoyed watching were those actors who used firearms to actually impute an-eye-for-an-eye lethal/executionary Biblical justice against murderers richly deserving execution with NO plea-bargaining, parole, nor probation. Instead, quick and decisive, cost-saving and God-approved lethal execution both in self-defense and for the quite-understandable vindication on behalf of those innocents mortally and injustly snuffed out.

To keep alive for years and years in prison those who the Old-Testament Pentatech demands prompt, quick, and no-mercy execution against.....and even forgive such for alleged "good behavior" - not only is a huge waste of taxpayer money coddling such impenitent criminals in luxury-laden incarceration, but is a damnable self-righteous attempt to concoct a pathetically-insufficent temporary "hell" of temporal isolation with a non-realistic pie-in-the-sky-by-and-by deviant presumption that correctional reform will someday magically occur for the perpetually impenitent.

Humans need not try such ridiculous substitutions for what God Himself will actually do regarding REAL eternal and never-ending Outer-Darkness Lake of Fire Hell which will punish far worse than any human expert in prolonged human torture and anguish can ever conceive of doing.
