Terran High Command

The Chancelor Adrian Knowles does not turn his attention from his viewscreen as you enter but says in a cheerful if somewhat weary tone:

"Welcome to Terra, third stone of Sol. We will do our utmost to make your stay a pleasurable one and introduce you to our marvelous society. War has plagued us as technomorphological and technotheological factions have collided but we have maintained our culture with the assistance of astounding new allies:

"The Galaxy of Diaspora, where you may join us in our attempt to create a new world or go as a free agent. As with the Universal Alliance, membership is free. This MMRPG allows you to traverse the universe as a trader or mercenary. We so happpen to need both!

"Our Second Civil War, if any war can be called 'civil', has taken a great toll on us, particularly as some of the theologians have attempted to destroy any knowledge they deem contrary to their beliefs of technological deification. Still our Library is open and should be of great interest to our visitors whether they are new to these realms or seasoned veterans. Our recovery of lost texts, discovery of new ones and creation of still more is an ongoing process.

"While you are here visit our city of New Washington. Here you'll find several local businesses, alien embassies and a few surprises, including a vast array of shops. We have merchandise from all the known galaxy and at very reasonable prices!

"Any who wish to set up shop may contact me in writing. We accept Terran and Alien Guilds, Organizations, Taverns and Sponsors so long as our simple laws are obeyed. New Washington is quite large as it is...all new building permits and, as such, prime real estate are granted on a first come basis.

"Do keep in mind our technology has increased to the point that spatial/temporal transit has become quite common. Many of the places you may visit here will take you far through universal space and time.

"If more conventional means of travel suit you better, you will wish to take a Starcruiser Shuttle to view this galactic quadrant or visit the other destinations available.

"In conjunction with our Alliance to Union and with the Mage Mayhem's consent we offer his portal to lands far and wide throughout this universe and in other dimensions...and much faster than shuttle travel!

"If you are wanting to make a home with us on Terra you are more than welcome! Just fill out our application with whatever information you will. Some of the more personal info is for use in finding you other members in your locality and is otherwise unnecessary.

From the Chamber's speakers you hear "ALERT! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!"
The Chairman remains calm as if this is just another bother he is quite used to. "If you have a fast machine you may go to the defense of Star Base C3 even now. The Knights will fly against this onslaught once again as well.

"As new portals open we will be extending our realm and bringing you the ability to visit even more realms. Enjoy you stay and visit again soon!"
