Lissette Torres
Welcome to my homepage. I am currently an orchestra director for the CCISD in Corpus Christi, Texas. I earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Music from The University of Puerto Rico, a Master of Music Education from Florida State University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from The University of Akron in Ohio, where I was a recipient of a full scholarship. I was a teaching assistant at both FSU and The U of A. I have been fortunate to work under some really great violinists: Luis Osvaldo Pino, Jaime Medina, Saul Ovcharov, Marguerite Richardson, Eliot Chapo, Andrew Jennings and Roger Zahab. I dedicate this page to them. They are the people that guided me through my musical journey, along with many orchestra directors like Roselin Pabon and Paquetin Figueroa in Puerto Rico. Ms. Torres have also taken private lessons with reknown guitarrist Mr. Philip Hii.
