Synopsis: After her father is killed in South America, free-spirited Bingo and her guardian, Ben Murchison, return to New York along with the new-found wealth her father left her. Aboard the ship she meets young and good-looking Andy McAllister and it's love at first sight. Andy has no money and his pride won't allow him to live on Bingo's, so he refuses to marry her. To complicate the situation Murchison is against their union and trys to trick them into separating. A thin plot and stilted dialogue make this film less than great. Crawford's acting is distinctly bad and her dancing worse, but we do get to hear both Montgomery and Crawford sing the Louis Alter-Joe Goodwin tune "That Wonderful Something Is Love" which is a real kick! |
