ROBBERY AT ST. STEPHEN'S GREEN CENTRE
A particularly vicious robbery took place on Tuesday 27th March at the St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre in Dublin. Shoppers and staff were said to be deeply shocked at the robbery which took place in the "Sasha" shop.

2 men in their twenties were seen fleeing the scene at around 1:30 p.m. Eyewitness reports said that they fleed in the direction of Camden Street. One of the assailants was seen carrying around 12 jumpers of varying colours and styles while the other was seen running off with a pair of high heeled shoes and a jar of Dolmio. Security staff at the St. Stephen's Green Centre described the pair as being in their early 20's, one was around 5 feet 10 in height, with red hair and impeccably turned out. They were able to provide us with an artists impression of this man, believed to be the ringleader of this outrage.

However, details of his accomplice are quite sketchy.
Although, it is believed that he was also in his twenties,
but significantly smaller, possibly around 5 feet 2 or 3.
He also fled the scene at at significantly faster pace
than the other man, possibly due to his lower centre of
gravity. The men's movements after they fled down
Camden street are unknown. The Gardai are particularly
anxious to catch these criminals. Chief. Supt. L.S McFadden
said " These men are highly dangerous and we are advising
the public to stay indoors if possible or if they must go out,
to do so in groups of up to 4. We would strongly
encourage anyone who thinks they may have any
information to come forward, maybe you have been
offered a suspect jumper to buy, or as a present, or seen a
person get unusually taller in the last few days or seen a person
buying spaghetti in a shop without buying sauce, we have to take every possibility into consideration" They have been termed "The Stylish Bandits" in the press and the sooner they are caught, the better, for all our sakes and may God help us all.

You may contact the incident room at Pearse St. Garda Station at (01)6669000 or on the confidential telephone line which I can't remember, but it's written on the side of every Garda Car in Ireland, so find one and look at it, if you want to do that.
