What to do when the TV dies
When you decided out of principle that you have to stay in on a night, because you feel bad about taking up temporary residence in the Stables every evening and the TV dies on you, isn't it ironic, but due to the experience of the past week, the residents of 17 Castlebrook are now well acquainted with the world of no Telly.

Here are a number of things that you can do to avoid complete boredom.

1. Unfortunately the library's chucking out time is still 8:55 p.m. so studying there or just killing time there is not an option after 9 o'clock, however before 9 o'clock, it can be an invaluable time filler.

2. Watch Pseudo TV, very similar to the real thing, except without the pictures or the sound.

3. Turn on the radio, and your Pseudo TV watching experience will be greatly improved, still no
    pictures though.

4. Go to the shop.

5. Go to the pub, maybe the TV breaking is a sign that maybe you shouldn't be staying in.

6. Discover the art of Zen, then relax.

7. Have a high quality, free ranging conversation about many varying topics and issues with your           housemates. Typical topics of conversation could be:
     (a) the current state of the world economy.
     (b) the Afghanistan situation.
     (c) how you're doing nothing and will need to cop on soon.
     (d) about what happened during the day, what you did, who you met, any unusual occurances?
     (e) argue about the washing up.
     (f) about the time when you nearly knocked Phil off the bike by hitting him with a football.
     (g) about that bloody washing machine
     (h) Any other business.

8. Play board games, Scrabble is good, especially after a few pints, you will see a marked                       improvement in your vocabulary. Never start Monopoly after 11 at night. Make sure you have             batteries before playing "Operation", although, rumour has it that Mr. Eve is a demon when it              comes to retrieving an Adam's Apple.

9. Invent your own games, such as; "rolling the Brylcreem into the bin", "curling the ball in the sitting       room door from the kitchen", "throw the tennis ball into the bin", "throw or kick anything into the           bin" and "doing the washing up".

10. Go bowling, more amusing when playing left handed.

11. Go to Superquinn.

12. Cook a nice dinner, because you have the time!!

13. Play tennis.

14. Visit Sean, eat all his cake, it is better to do this earlier in the week, because there will be cake.

We hope you never have to resort to such measures.
