My father used to say that he and my mother were doing their best to raise five deprived children. If this were true I would have to say that they failed miserably .
I count it a privilege to have been born the fourth child out of five to a missionary couple in Japan. To have been taught from an early age to live a Godly life, and to have learned common knowledge by grazing my knees.
I also count it a privilege to have been able to attend the local Japanese elementary and junior high schools, and now to study at a Russian University in Japan. I also look forward to learning many things as I set out on my own. But most of all, I thank God for the privilege to be called His child.
