ou are what you eat ~ At the age of 46, I finally realized the truth of this statement, and exactly what it means. The combination of the foods we eat or don't eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the medications we ingest, all have an effect on our health. With the introduction of chemicals, antibiotics, steroids, processed foods, and genetically engineered foods, there has been a steady increase in disease, allergies, sensitivities, and even crime, particularly in North America. There has to be something drastically wrong when babies are dying of cancer, and children are developing adult diseases! All these "un-natural" substances that we take into our bodies every day end up compromising our immune systems, attacking and mutating healthy living cells, and threatening our very lives, and those of our children. If this is scaring you, it should be even more frightening to know that our doctors, pharmacists, and our governments are all condoning, and even promoting, the use of the very products that are killing us! What is worse is that they are trying to cure us by pumping us full of harmful drugs and performing dangerous and unnecessary procedures and operations. We will always need doctors, but when all is said and done, we must ultimately be the ones to take control of our own lives, and be responsible for our own health and well-being. We need to educate ourselves, and especially our children, since they are the future. The truth is out there, and has already been discovered by many, but still, too few. There is much you can do to achieve better health now, and to a ripe old age. I would like to share with you some of what I have learned and experienced. Click on the "Optimum Health" link for the good health recipe. It may seem daunting, but just go slowly. You won't be able to do it all at once, so gradually make the changes you can handle. In the end, the rewards will be well worth it. It's never too late! |
