ROY THOMAS (NGUYEN MINH T�M) PREMO, JR. spent seven years (Jun66-Aug73) working in Vietnam as an Internal Auditor for RMK-BRJ and he traveled throughout South Vietnam, from Danang in the north to the Mekong Delta in the south, see Vietnam Maps. After leaving RMK-BRJ he worked for 18-months as a Cost Accountant on a USAID project sponsored by Sanderson & Porter with Cong ty Dien Luc, the electric company in South Vietnam. MINH_T�M considers himself to be a Viet-Kieu (Vietnamese Living Abroad) and now that he is retired he spends one-half of the year in Vietnam(Nov-Apr) and the rest of the year (May-Oct) in the USA.
MINH T�M also worked at Bechtel for ten years (1974-1985). After joining them in New York City, TOM and his family traveled to Indonesia where he worked on the Pertamina/Badak LNG Refinery construction job. They lived in Jakarta for one year and then transferred to the jobsite which was located in the jungles of Borneo, East Kalimantan near Balikpapan which is the center of Kalimantan's oil industry and is the gateway to East Kalimantan with air and sea connections to Jakarta and other major points in Indonesia. After Phase-1 of the LNG Refinery was completed in 1979, Tom and his family returned to the Bechtel home office in San Francisco. Tom worked in the home office on the Riyadh Internationa King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) which was in Saudi Arabia. He went to Riyadh with his family and was with Bechtel until the airport construction job was completed. After leaving Bechtel, he worked for the KKIA operating company and returned to the bay area in 1985. He has built the Whitehouse East, his new home in Go Cong, Tien Giang Province and will be living and working in Vietnam again as a consultant for the PREMO Foundation.
