Children (1)Wiley ADAMS B03-04-1798; (2) Mathais ADAMS B10-10-1800; (3)Charlotte ADAMS B abt1804;(4)Asa Lemuel ADAMS B12-28-1809. All of these children raised families in Montgomery County Georgia. I have quite a bit of information and would like to share with other researchers of this ADAMS line.

Children are:1) Wiley Adams B Mar. 04 1798 - D May 21 18732) Matthais Adams B Oct. 10 1800 - D Mar 15 18553) Charlotte Adams B Abt 18014) Asa Lemuel Adams B Dec. 28 1809 - D Jun 13 1891All of these children believed to be born ed, raised and died in Montgomery County Georgia which became a County in 1793, a split off from Washington County. I havecopied some pages from a book named GEORGIA'S ROSTER of the REVOLUTION by Lucian Lamar Knight. Page 21 lists JOHN ADAMS as receiving a land grant. Page 22 lists ROBERT ADAMS as receiving a land grant. Page 206 lists something about the heirs of Robert Adams. I have other references to Washington county land grants listing the names, dates, book, page, acres and location. As an amateur Genealogist, I don't know how to use this data. ADAMS Stacie Wilkes twotoads@cchat.com    I am trying to find information on my paternal randmother's family.  I know that they lived in and around Uvalda,Ga. Her name was Lois Columbia ADAMS.  She had at least three sisters and two brothers. Their names were Joe,Cleo,Lil & Cil (twins), and Charlie.  I don't know their full names... other than their last names being Adams. Their parents names were Daisy (Conner or Carner) and Lewis Columbus Adams.  Lois married Max WILKES, whose father was the county ordinary for either Montgomery or Toombs county..his name was Lawson Wilkes.  I have heard that Lois' grandfather was the largest land owner in Montgomery co., but lost his land during the depression.  I have also heard that she was the 'bell' of Montgomery county.  If there is any confirmation of this or any other information on these people or close relatives I would love to hear about it.

ARNOLD Pat Sutman SherrynPat@aol.com According to military records, my ancestor HENRY GREEN ARNOLD was born in Montgomery County in 1824. By 1850 he was in Florida where he married (widow) Clarky Ann Oglesby Williams. They had two sons, Adison and Thomas Arnold. The only other thing we know is that he had a sister Rebecca Arnold, b.abt. 1840. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

BURTON Robert (Bob) D. Burton rburton904@aol.com Looking for information on the origins of Pleasant C. T. BURTON (1834-1900), who first appears in Montgomery Co, GA as a 16 year old farm laborer in the household of John and Mary FERGUSON. His father was Tannington BURTON (bef 1800-1851), who was in Burke Co, GA 1820-1825. Pleasant C. T. Burton was supposedly born in Baker Co, GA. I know that Tannington BURTON died in 1851 and left his son an estate worth $83.00, but I don't know where he died. On 3/27/1853, Pleasant married Susan FERGUSON, the youngest daughter of John and Mary FERGUSON. They lived the remainder of their lives in Montgomery Co, GA. CALHOUND O'Conner/Calhoun SOCONNER@kilstock.com I am trying to find any information on my great grandfather, FloydCalhoun.  He is buried in Tarrytown his marker reads Floyd Calhoun SgtCamp Supply Co QMC World War I Born 2/4/1886 Died 3/2/55. He had a wifeMary Duncan Calhoun she was born 3/26/01 and died 9/26/88.  I'm 26 yearsold and just found out that I am not an O'Conner that I am a Calhoun. Floyd Calhoun is my grandfather (Ollie O'Conner's biological father) Ollie is still living but does not remember anything and from what mygrandmother says he didn't talk about it much in his younger years.  Ifyou know anything about this person I would greatly appreciate it.

His known children were: Abraham, Jr., Jessie (married Delilah ?), Reuben (married twice, 1st to ??, 2nd to Sarah Daniel), Martha (married ?? Barrow), Lydia (married ?? Sanderford), Isaac (married twice; 1st ??, 2nd Charity Rooks), and Cenith (married Christopher Snell). Isaac fathered at least 5 children: Vincent, Matthew, Elijah, James, and John. Isaac d 1827 in Montgomery County. This family lived in Burke, Emanuel, Jefferson, and Montgomery counties, depending on how the county lines were drawn at a particular time. I am descended through John, who fathered 8 children by his 1st wife, Martha Gardner, and 6 children by his second wife, Nelly Joiner. Any info appreciated.

Thomas was killed byIndains around 1816, in Montgomery Co. He was also a revolutionary war soldier. His Grave is probally unmarked,if he had a burial. Mozo appears with a wife and 3 children. In the 1870 census records, Eliza Mozo is enumerated in the Lumber City, Montgomery records with 3 children (Albert, Mollie, George) Talbot Mozo was listed in the Bibb Co. census records and is shown living in the Robinson household and with an occupation of rail laborer. Was Talbot another child of Eliza's? Who was her husband? My direct ancestor was James Mozo (and his wife Susan Clarke Mozo) of Camden County. How are these Mozo families related? SMITH Hugh Rodgers rodgers_hugh@colstate.edu   I am seeking possible ancestral connections of Rev. Jacob SMITH (b. c.1805, d. 1886) to Smith families in the Montgomery Co., Ga. area.  Rev. SMITH lived from 1830 to his death in Conecuh Co, AL and Escambia Co., AL.  His father may have been the Jacob Smith listed in the 1820 AL census for Conecuh CO, AL.  Rev. SMITH's brothers included Dred SMITH, David SMITH, Elbert SMITH, Anderson SMITH.  Any clues and suggestions for research appreciated. 
SOLOMON Jacob L. Bateman III I am seeking information on Lazarus SOLOMON or his sons Henry SOLOMON and William SOLOMON. His son in law John LAND also may have been in Montgomery County. The family appeared in Georgia as early as 1805 to receive a land grant for his military services in theRevolutionary War. Could someone do a look up in the land records of Montgomery County to see if this surname appears. The family eventually settled in Wilkinson Co, was not that created from part of Montgomery County, so in all probability they did play a role in the life of that county. They owned land in several counties.
