My music...hehehe
Some of my favourite bands:
Great Ska-punk. So much fun to skank to... very happy.
Some of their best songs (Personal opinion) are Take Warning and Unity. They turned into Rancid. OPIvy was better.
A fantastic happy punk band, great for when you just wanna sit around and dance or feel happy. Best songs: Ursula Finally has tits, Tamira's a punk, Next Stop Rehab, No tit
More happy punk, great for when you need something a little more upbeat and loud, although their lyrics are all happy and funny.
Best Songs: Rubbing the Elf, Bossanova, From the Used Bin
Classic Punk. Just the freekin' best punk band out there...
Dave Matthews Band
Dave Matthews Band: Sinply the most original, talented and musically diverse band on the planet. They are my favourite band.
Get Say Goodbye, Crash into Me, The Dreaming Tree... anything. Anything by them is good. Trust me.
If you're ever needing angry folk rock by a bitter and insightful woman, Ani DiFranco is what you need. And if you don't want that, you still want Ani. She's so great. Get Both Hands, Untouchable Face, Little Plastic Castles and As Is.
So here's the deal... I talk about these guys below too... but they're that good. They're a harder kind of band, where all the guys go to school with me. Basically, they write really good music. Really good music. I just got their cd (not yet in mass production... but talk to any of the guys and they'll hook you up). Best $6 I've spent in a long time. The cd is INCREDIBLE!

If you don't know who they are, go to their site. Both their graphic shown here and the site were created by Carl (the bass player). He's really good at designing web pages and graphics. He's a fun guy too. Go to their site. NOW.
I also like so many other bands.

In loud stuff, look for Poison the Well, Slipknot, Twinfold, Nora, Skinlab, Dillinger Escape Plan, Turmoil, Torn Apart, Walls of Jerico, Rise over Run, Morning Again, Keepsake, Ignite, Boy Sets Fire.

My Favourite Emocore bands are Sun.In.Sky (Brampton band... all my friends... incredibly talented), and Moneen.  Moneen is trippy. Listen to them for a confusinly good time.

Refused: They're loud. Really good loud too. And their video for New Noise is just trippy.

I'm majorly into emo. Emo is fun in its own cry into your sweater through your thick-rimmed glasses kind of way. I love it for those times that I'm sad or angry or just got dumped and need to relate to something.
Get anything by Dashboard Confessional, the Getup Kids, The New Amsterdams, Bright Eyes, Saves the Day or The Pettit Project and you won't be dissapointed.

If you're looking for ska, Planet Smashers, Reel Big Fish and Buck O' Nine are my absolute favourites.

In the world of Jazz, get Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, Stanley Turrentine, Gene Ammons or Sonny Stitt for great sax music. It's mostly mellow stuff that I listen to because I need some way to relax. Plus, I've made up a couple of compilation discs of their music I've nicknamed Music to Shag To... for obvious reasons.
Click on a band name to go to another site about them.

More bands and links coming when I get more time...
