The
"Drum Runners" are
an
eccentric lot and here are a few of their boats!!
It
had to happen sooner or later!!!
After a while a the
drum just ain't big enough. Here's a couple of our happy
Drumrunners puttin'
along in a neat new wooden boat. It's still a drum tho, because
that's the boat name,
"DrumRunner".
The motor is a snazzy
little Martin 20 and these two are happily cruising along.
Note tho, that there
are oars on board.
Never leave port without
them and always power upstream.
One unmember couldn't
wait to get his boat
on the water so here
it is naked!!!
Ought to be fast as
light as it is!!
This next one is a
retro job.
A reproduction of
a prohibition era rum runner
It's called a sneakeasy
and is a Phil Bolger design.
26 feet long 4 foot
beam
a tired 18 horse motor
and it still gets 15 miles per hour
This
boat is for sale. For info contact Jim Rudholm

We don't have many
places around here to float our boats
or spin our props
so here we are in an irrigation reservoir.
The boat is a standard
little ten foot utility.
The motor is a 1932
Caille with variable pitch prop
and yes, those are
grapevines on the far shore
This last boat
belongs to our celebrity un-member.. Guess who?
Actually, I haven't
the faintest idea who he is..
But he typifies our
attitude to our hobby
