Mount Quandary (14,265 ft.)
Cimbed:  August 1995
Quandary is 6 miles southwest of Breckenridge and 3 miles northwest of Hoosier Pass on Colorado 9.  It is the Tenmile-Mosquito Range's unquestioned monarch.  The Tenmile-?Mosquito Range's lesser peaks rise in concert, each higher than the last, toward Quandary.  Quandary is justifiably popular because of its proximity to Denver and a major highway.  It is a celebrated winter ascent, and people often ski the gentle east slopes.  Quandary is also a good spring training climb.  The west and northeast ridges offer a more technical challenge.  Quandary has something for everyone.  ?(Colorado's Fourteeners From Hikes to Climbs, Gerry Roach)
