Pick pocketing
The new skill of thievery allows you to steal from many npc's in the game. Although you cannot steal from other players (although it would make it more fun). When you first start thieving you can only steal from men, then when you get higher you can steal from more npc's. To pickpocket from a npc you have to right click and select "pickpocket". Sometimes when you are pick pocketing the npc you are stealing from may notice you and attack you. When you get better you will be noticed less often, and be able to pickpocket from more characters in the game. The levels you need to steal from certain char's in the game are below.

Lock picking
Some of the doors in RuneScape can only be opened by picking the lock. To do this just right click on the door and select the option "picklock door". When you are a higher level you will be able to picklock more doors.

Trap disarming
Some chests and other objects in the game are booby trapped, and if you try to open or use it you can receive damage or other penalties. If an object has a trap and you right click on it, you will find an option "disarm trap". You will not be able to disarm a trap unless you are high enough level. After a while a trap will regenerate so you can get more experience.

Stealing from market stalls
If you go to the city of Ardougne you will notice that there are various market stalls like the "gem stall". When you right click on the market stall choose the "steal from" option. At different lvls you can steal from better stalls. If you steal from the stall while a npc is in line of sight with you they will attack you. or if it is the stall owner he will call the guards.
