The family originated probably in South Lancashire. A section then appear to have moved to North Staffordshire. From these two centres they slowly spread through South Lancashire, North Cheshire, Derbyshire,  South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. In recent years they have spread further afield though the density lies still in these areas.  In addition there were early migrations to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Naden Brook originates on the Moors enters the Naden Reservoirs then Greenbooth Reservoir and reappears above.

 

Much of the family settled in the villages of the North Staffs Moorlands including Warslow above.

 
 

 

 

 

 


Deputy Constable Nadin of Manchester and many of his family are buried in Cheadle churchyard above.

 

Some ventured further afield and in the late 18th and 19th C there were Nadens in Lichfield, some in Dam St

 
     

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The family society produces notelets with either black and white or coloured pictures connected to the family.
