Part 30

***

Shinya took of his jacket and placed it neatly in his bag. Then he took out his drumsticks and wiped them carefully. The drummer then walked toward his drum set and checked on everything before smiling to himself proudly. For being so punctual, for being so tidy, for being so right all the time…

Right

Shinya sat on the chair

Right…right feeling, right one, right person…

First impression is the most important thing in the world…So do it with the right person…it will be special if it's right. Then everything else will be right too, …and they will be precious… 

Shinya took a deep breath and walked to the window. He opened it and breath in the fresh morning air

Should Shinya do it?

Has time come?

Shinya looked up the blue sky, and smiled

Maybe

But who's the right person?

Who did Shinya think is the right person?

What kind of person is the right person?

An expert? So Shinya had a good first time?

A nice guy? So Shinya was treated nicely?

A baka? So both of them were clueless while doing it?

Shinya blinked, and stuck his tongue as some certain red head's face filled his mind

Not him

He's not interested in men

No, even if he was, Shinya wouldn't sleep with Die!

Shinya pouted, and took another deep breath

Then he smiled

Shinya had made up his mind

Yes, the time has come

Shinya is having sex

"No! You're the one!!!" 

Shinya rolled his eyes as the door burst open and Toshiya came in with his bag pack. Kyo trailed behind him and was munching pocky. 

"Baka…" Kyo muttered among his chews, and that earned him a slap from Toshiya, "Yamero! I'm so SURE you hid it somewhere before I arrived home!!!" he glared at the vocalist suspiciously. The smaller guy grinned slowly and threw himself on the couch, "Ne, you're just in denial…you're careless! Admit it!" 

"I'm not careless!" Toshiya insisted, "For the tenth billion time, PLEASE tell me WHERE you hid the damn diskette!!!!" Toshiya exclaimed in desperation, his arms flailing around Kyo, whose eyes followed what Shinya was doing. The drummer was smiling to him, while at the same time taking something out from his bag. Then Shinya walked to Kyo and sat beside him leisurely. 

"Ahh, not careless, did you say Totchi kun?" Shinya raised an eyebrow and looked at Kyo, who looked smug. Toshiya's eyes narrowed into slits as he sent daggers to Kyo who wrapped an arm around Shinya. The bassist took a deep breath and stomped his foot on the ground, "Huh! Fine, so you guys team up and go against me! FINE! I'll go and tell Kaokao 
about this to be damned liaison and he will come and-"

"Oh, what? 'Kao kao I lost the diskette that I'm supposed to give you today and I think it's Kyo and Shinya's fault'?" Kyo asked grinning wider. Shinya narrowed his eyes and nodded his head thoughtfully. Toshiya bit his lip and glared harder. But the pretty man gasped as Shinya moved and showed him a seemingly familiar diskette on his hand. Kyo gasped mocking the bassist. 

"That…that…" Toshiya pointed

"This what?" Shinya played with the thing. Kyo snatched it all the sudden, "Aha! So this is it eh?" he grinned and continued, "Toshiya has to clean up the mess he creates in my apartment, don't you think Shinchan?" he looked at the other pretty man, who nodded. 

Toshiya froze

"…"

There goes the pout

Kyo : O.o

Then the quivering lips

Shinya : -_-;

Followed by those teary eyes

Toshiya : *wails* huaaaaaaaaaaaaa….

The door opened and Kaoru walked in. Toshiya gasped and smiled, "Kaoru! There's the diskette!" he pointed at Kyo. The purple head seemed surprise at the sudden exclamation but he smiled and walked to Kyo, "Thanks" he muttered and kept it in his bag not noticing the glare in Kyo's eyes, Shinya's giggles and Toshiya's triumph smile. Kaoru yawned softly and set up his guitar. 

Toshiya smiled wider, "Hi Kyo. Ohayou"

Shinya sighed and got up, leaving the to flat mates alone. 

"Baka" Kyo muttered and Toshiya burst out into laughters, hitting Kyo with a cushion at the same time.

Die rushed toward the rehearsal room as fast as possible but the corridor seemed to be endless. He ran pass few guys and greeted them hastily. 

"Die kun!" a familiar voice exclaimed

The red head turned around and saw the pretty face looking at him

"Shinya! Ah! I thought I was late!" he growled and leaned on the wall

The drummer smiled a little and walked closer to him, "You ARE late, very late" he replied coldly. Die sighed aloud and covered his face tiredly. Shinya stared, studying the older man's expression. "Kaoru kun had waited too long so he decided to work on his own song instead of working together to complete the song we did yesterday. Kyo kun has finished writing lyrics for one song, and Toshiya kun is with our leader" Shinya spoke firmly. 

The guitarist rolled his eyes, "So what are you doing out here?"

"Getting tea for myself" Shinya replied

"Oh" Die murmured

"We can't reach your hand phone"

"It's off. I couldn't sleep last night until five, woke up at ten and forgot to turn it on. Gomen" Die explained

Shinya stared at him closely with no expression on his face at all. This made Die felt so annoyed, since he was already in bad mood. The older man cleared his throat, "Shinya, don't stare at me" he turned away but Shinya was still looking at him. It was so irritating that the red head bit his lip and turned back to Shinya, ready to yell but all the sudden the younger man held out something

Die looked and joined his eyebrows

A cup

He took the cup and looked at the man

Shinya smiled

"Your tea"

Die was speechless and merely stared as Shinya turned away and walked away, his hand holding another cup of tea. The red head sighed again and stared at the cup for a long time

Inside the rehearsal room was Kyo, sitting on a chair, sleeping with his head on the table. Papers were everywhere. Toshiya stared at his band mate with sleepy eyes, but he sniffed and got up. He couldn't sleep cuz he must help Kaoru with the song, …the special song. So he walked toward the older man and smiled, "Kaoru, so what do I do now? Have you checked the diskette?"

Kaoru nodded and told him to sit beside him, so Toshiya did what he was told to

"It's good, …you know, it gives the others a chance to explore" he smiled and started to make more comments on Toshiya's works. But then he stopped and looked at Toshiya, he looked at Toshiya deep into his eyes, "Totchi, I think you have developed a lot" 

Toshiya blinked

What a voice, so deep…so husky…and those eyes, so alluring!!! It wasn't as if he didn't notice before but this time, …it felt different. 

"Totchi?"

Ah, call me…I love the way you do it…totchi...totchi…call me again and again 

Toshiya sighed and covered his face, his slightly blushing face. Kaoru chuckled and held his hands, "Totchi….what happen?" he peeled Toshiya's palms and held his face, 'Totchi?" he laughed as Toshiya's blushing face came to view. The younger man pouted and kicked his leg, "Don't laugh at me!" Kaoru laughed harder and messed up Toshiya's hair, "Why are you shy now?"

"Mou…"

Kaoru stopped and stared at him

"I…I feel weird. These days, I feel so weird…" Toshiya sighed, "The stars don't glitter, and…I feel so careless, more careless than usual, and…" he uttered 

"…"

…

"Totchi…" Kaoru called him gently. Toshiya looked at the older man, who smiled and spread his arms widely, "Come here…" he whispered. Toshiya felt his heartbeat fastened, and he felt hot on his cheeks, but he was so dying to be held by Kaoru. 

Toshiya smiled and moved closer, hugging the older man. Kaoru sighed and hugged him tightly as Toshiya shut his eyes, completely burying himself into the embrace. Kaoru ran his fingers through Toshiya's silky strands gently, "Totchi…" he whispered.

Die looked at the hugging couple, "…" there was something in his eyes, like sadness, …but it wasn't exactly sadness. 

But he felt sad

Why? It was only Kaoru and Toshiya…his band mates…why should he feel sad? Was he in love with one of them? No. 

Then?

Die narrowed his eyes

It was the hug

So close as if Kaoru and Toshiya were one, so tight that Die was scared they might hurt each other…and so different... Die had never seen kaoru and Toshiya hugging this way. They looked like lovers, real lovers. But Kaoru and Toshiya weren't lovers. 

Die sighed and shook his head

"Die kun…"

The red head jumped

"Why are you standing here?" Shinya looked at him weirdly. The red head shook his head, "Nothing, nothing…" he sighed tiredly and entered the room. Kaoru looked up and smiled, while Toshiya pouted and pulled away, smiling at the purple head. Shinya looked around and found Kyo. 

"Kyo kun, okite!" he shook the sleeping man's shoulders, "Ah, Totchi kun…the hot shower's working" he exclaimed. Kyo woke up and yawned. Die lit up a cigarette and set up his guitar. Toshiya stood up and took his backpack, "Domo, Shinchan…" he said. Kaoru raised an eyebrow, "Heh, you haven't taken shower?" he asked. Kyo scratched his head and yawned again. Shinya played with the blonde's hair and pouted at Die.

"Ne, I had! But I was so in rush I forgot to take another shower…" Toshiya reasoned and opened the door

Kaoru laughed, "No wonder you smell!" he wrinkled his nose. Toshiya quickly smelled himself and protested. Then he threw the oldest a book. Shinya laughed, Kyo blinked and Die remained silent while Kaoru tried to avoid the flying object.

"Kyo san…" a man knocked on the door and Kyo looked up. Yamazaki san stood there and nodded to him, "Sound checking, can you please go over to the other side?" the singer got up and smiled, "Sure" he replied and closed the door behind him. Die coughed a little took out another cigarette but soon he realized a pair of pretty eyes staring at him intensely. The red head pouted and got up, walking out the room as he lit up he stick.

Shinya watched as Die closed the door behind him, then he smoothed down his hair before approaching Kaoru

"Kaoru…"

"Hm? Sit down Shinya, tell me. Is this melody right?" Kaoru played his guitar. Shinya shut his eyes and listened. Then he opened his eyes and nodded. "How bout this one?" Kaoru played some similar melody, but this time it's higher. The drummer thought for a while, "The first one is better, I think Kyo kun can pull it off easily" he commented. The guitarist sighed and put his instrument on the table, "I thought so, but you know….so many possibilities, …"

Shinya smiled, "Kaoru kun…nothing is perfect"

Kaoru looked at the younger man thoughtfully

"Nothing is perfect because nobody is perfect. You can't change or do something the way you want to, because it already has a way of its own"

Kaoru smiled, "So Shinchan has grown up"

"I learnt it from you" Shinya muttered, looking at Kaoru calmly. The older man parted his lips, and looked back in surprise. So Shinya had really grown up. He thought differently and talked differently now. Kaoru smiled wider and patted Shinya's shoulder. The drummer cleared his throat, "Speaking of growing up…" he whispered.

"Yeah…? What do you want to talk about?" Kaoru realized, "Sorry I kinda cut you off…"

"Kaoru kun…" Shinya bit his lip, and stopped. 

"What's up?"

"I - …."

Kaoru waited patiently

Shinya looked at the older man with a funny expression, "I…I'm going-"

"Where?" 

"Iie!"

"Oh…"

"I-I …"

"Shinchan?!"

"I am going to have sex!" Shinya stated firmly, shut his eyes, opened them then looked at Kaoru.

Kaoru's jaw dropped

"Nani?"

Shinya bit his lips, and smiled shyly.

Toshiya shut his eyes as the water ran down his spine. It was warm but somehow he felt cold

Cold

…

Toshiya gasped as he heard somebody coughed. He tried to listen and the more he heard the person cough the more convinced he was that the man was Die. 

"Die…?" 

"Yeah…"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah…"

"…you sure?"

"Shut up and take your shower, Totchi"

"…"

Toshiya shrugged, …fine…whatever…

"Wow…that…that's good!" Kaoru laughed, nervously.

Shinya smiled

"I mean, it's the time for you to know…about it…." Kaoru stated, or tried, to state it firmly, like an adult but he was too surprise and this was unexpected. Shinya laughed at his reaction so Kaoru blushed, "Yeah…it's good…"

"I feel that I should tell you…because I asked you before, about it" Shinya replied.

Kaoru nodded

Shinya nodded back

Toshiya wiped the back of his neck while looked at Die worriedly. The guitarist was smoking his fourth cigarette didn't look like he was going to stop. The red head looked at Toshiya with his red eyes.

"Toshiya…" his voice was coarse

"Hm?"

"Do you remember that night?" 

…

Toshiya thought for a while, before replying, "You mean…the night…we…"

Die nodded

"Yeah! Of course! It's your first time!" he laughed, nervously.

Die narrowed his eyes, "So how did it feel to have another man bedding you?"

Toshiya joined his eyebrows

"Did you sleep with anyone lately?"

"What do you mean?"

"More one night stands?"

"Die…" Toshiya turned to look at him, "What are you talking about?"

The red head stared at him, then snorted, "Of course you did! More and more men … slut like you…" he muttered. 

Toshiya widened his eyes in shock, "Die?!!"

The older man turned away. Toshiya bit his lip, lips trembling. There was no way he would let Die insult him like that. Toshiya was about to say something but the bathroom door opened and Kyo walked in, "There you are Totchi! Sound check!" he exclaimed. But Toshiya wasn't moving. He was glaring at Die, in anger, real anger. Kyo joined his eyebrows and looked at Die, who looked drunk. 

"Toshiya…" Kyo slowly touched the taller man's arm, "Let's go"

The bassist threw Die one last glare before slamming the door shut.

Die silently lit another stick

"Toshiya! What's going on?!" 

The taller man was biting his lip and walking so fast that Kyo had to jog to catch up. They had just been to the recording room and now Toshiya went straight back to rehearsal room. Kyo was so worried about Toshiya, but he didn't want to tell him a single thing!

Slut? I'm not a slut! I DO sleep with men, I DO have one-night stands but I am NOT a slut!!!

Toshiya opened the door carelessly, and looked around the room for some red head jerk. But he found no one, except Kaoru and Shinya who were sitting on the couch. He sighed, trying to calm himself down. Kyo pouted and looked at the two on the couch, and widened his eyes.

Kaoru was blushing and Shinya was looking at Kaoru, so closely as if he was trying to read Kaoru's mind. The guitarist nodded, said something in which Kyo reckoned 'I am honored' and then Shinya replied, 'You are the first one to know…' after that, Kaoru stared at Shinya's face for a while and said, 'Thank you'

Kyo raised an eyebrow as Shinya replied, 'No, thank YOU'

Kaoru shook his head, blushed and laughed nervously

Un…I'm so tired. I hope minna san enjoy this…sorry for making all of you waited so long! I will write faster in the future!
