Toshiya and All That Glitters

Shinya yawned and opened his eyes, looking around he yawned again. There was no one in the room but him. He must had fallen asleep! Blushing the drummer got up and tidied himself up. Feeling the urge to go to bathroom, he walked toward the door and suddenly his phone rang. A smile painted on his lips as he read the screen. He pressed the ‘yes’ button and answered.

“Moshi moshi…”

Shinya giggled

“Mm, Die kun said so? When is it?” Shinya walked down the corridor smiling, “This Saturday? Okay. I’ll ask Kaoru kun if it’s fine…eh? It IS? How do you now?!” he pouted a little then gasped, “Nani?! Die already told you, and you already spoke to Kaoru?! How come I didn’t know about it?!”

“Mn…okay then, see you on Saturday…bye”

Shinya hung up the phone and entered the bathroom, and he looked at his watch.

Almost dinner time

Hmm he was so tired that he even slept through dinner, and everyone else was doing recording…hopefully. The last thing he remembered was Kyo kun entering the studio quietly while he had finished recording his stuff. Kyo smiled to him and he smiled back, but that was all he could recall. Shinya was so sleepy that he fell asleep as soon as he hit the couch.

Uh…so bad, he whined internally

Shinya washed his hands, his face and then fixed his looks. After that, he walked out the bathroom and suddenly decided to check the recording room. So he turned back and saw the door opened. Shinya joined his eyebrows but-

That figure was standing holding the door knob, and that person was smoking, and he noticed Shinya

Shinya widened his eyes

“Ohh I’m soo tired!” Die stretched his arms in the air and smiled as Emiko stared at her. Then she gasped and pointed at a direction

“Look! Die kun…”

“I, …I didn’t know you’re around”

Toshiya made no reply, smoking

“How are you now?”

Shinya asked worriedly and stepped forward. Toshiya twitched as Shinya touched his arm

“Don’t touch me FUCKING BITCH!!!”

“Ah!!!”

Toshiya slapped the frail arm away and due to the pain on his knee, Shinya stumped back and lost his balance. He saw the wall right in front and closed his eyes but surprisingly he didn’t hit it as expected. The drummer opened his eyes and realized an arm holding him from behind. He looked up and saw Die giving Toshiya murderous look

“Toshiya!!!”

Die yelled

And of course, all the noises had drawn some others’ attention and Kaoru was seen with Kyo, among the others, who quickly ran up to Toshiya.

Kaoru walked toward them slowly, quietly and leaned on the wall, watching. He wanted to know what was going on. Everyone was doing their own things these days, Shinya looked wishy washy, Die stayed quiet while Kyo looked pissed. Toshiya…when did he turn up?

Die glared at Toshiya intensely

“I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes…” the red head muttered.

Shinya widened his eyes, “…?”

Kyo looked at Toshiya, who glowered at Die

“Why are you being so violent to Shinya??!” Die asked, “First you pushed him down the stairs, now…” he held Shinya tighter, “You HIT him!!!”

Toshiya had no expression on his face while Kyo looked shocked. Kaoru joined his eyebrows and Shinya gasped.

“Pushed him down the stairs? What do you mean?” Kyo asked

“Shinya fell down the stairs! He told me he lost balance but how could he? Kaoru found Toshiya’s necklace on the spot, so who else could it be?!” Die hissed but he was surprised when Shinya pushed him away, gripping his shirt tightly, “NO!!!”

Toshiya snorted

“Of course…what else did he tell you Die?”

Kaoru approached them

“Toshiya! No! you got it wrong, Die! He didn’t push me down!!”

“What a piece of drama…” Toshiya smiled at Kyo, a feral smile. Die looked at Shinya then looked at Toshiya.

“There was a wet spot on the floor! I didn’t notice so I slipped!!! It wasn’t his fault! Toshiya wasn’t even there!” Shinya explained hurriedly. Kyo pouted and looked at Die, the red head went quiet for a while, then he spoke, “But how could Toshiya’s necklace …”

“Like what you’ve just heard Die kun, there was a wet spot on the staircase” Toshiya spoke in a low voice and pulled his sleeve up. Die widened his eyes as he saw the big bruise on Toshiya’s elbow. Kyo smiled and held Toshiya’s arm. Shinya looked at the bassist worriedly and shook Die’s shoulders, “It’s not Toshiya!!!” he pushed

Die shut his eyes and nodded

“Okay…sorry” Die looked up, “Toshiya, I am very sorry” he bowed

Toshiya smiled bitterly at him and turned away, and Kaoru was standing right in front of him

“Where were you these four days?”

“I was sick”

“Why didn’t you tell us?”

Toshiya raised an eyebrow and chuckled, “Why should I? As if anyone cares…” he stared back at Kaoru.

“You missed all the recordings”

Toshiya glared at Kaoru

Recordings?!!!!

“Screw the recordings”

“TOSHIYA!!!”

Kaoru held his cheek

Kyo bit his fingernail and looked at Toshiya

Die gasped

Shinya jumped

“Don’t yell at me” Toshiya hissed and held his hand down

Pain

The palm that landed on Kaoru’s cheek

It felt pain

Kaoru looked at him, it wasn’t a glare, it wasn’t a ‘look’ like Kaoru was seeing him, seeing through his eyes

“You have recordings to do” his tone sounded flat. Kyo sighed and walked away, shaking his head.

“I’m not doing them” Toshiya stubbornly answered

“You’re under contract”

“Screw the contract”

Kaoru looked at Toshiya, so calmly that the younger one felt …scared.

“You can play with me, with Die, Kyo and Shinya but you can’t play with contracts”

“I can play with anything I want”

“No”

“Learn it from you, thank you senpai” Toshiya’s voice was filled with sarcasm.

“Toshiya…” Kaoru started

“Yeah, …you’re just like an insect flying from one flower to another, right Shinya?” Toshiya asked aloud.

Shinya looked at Kaoru

Kaoru smiled

…?

Toshiya looked at him in shock

Kaoru smiled, the smug, winning smile!

Die looked at Kyo, who merely shrugged and gave the ‘I don’t care cuz I don’t know’ look.

“Whatever you want Totchi…You can start recording next week, you can rush the deadlines…it’s in two weeks” Kaoru spoke lightly, “See you on Saturday, if you’re bothered”

Kaoru walked pass him and smiled as he held Shinya’s arm, “Oh yeah, one more thing” he turned around to Toshiya. Shinya looked at them weirdly

“When I’m jealous…, at least I don’t show it” Kaoru sneered and walked away leading Shinya with him

Toshiya froze there

Speechless

Shamed

Shocked

Heartless

Such a cold-blooded man

So cruel

Love

He loved him
