Make and quilt a block that is approximately 10" square. Suggestions: appliqued heart surrounded by two fabric borders, traditional quilt square design, bear silhouette, x-stitch design.

Attach one side of this section to large denim piece. Begin pinning from the bottom upwards. Trim the top short denim piece, if necessary.
Sew short, 4" pieces of denim to top and bottom of quilted panel.
Measure the resulting piece of work and cut lining to match this measurement.
Attach the other side of the quilted panel section to the large denim piece, making a tube.
Bottom Seam: Find the center of the quilted panel section and match it to the center of the large denim piece. Sew it twice for reinforcement.
Squish corners to form a triangle and stitch across twice, one inch from triangle point. -->
