If you're not prepared to follow these rules,
then you're not prepared to be a Wee Wicket
ReAdoption Agency.  Read carefully!  Your
application guarantees your acceptance of all
of the following rules!

~ You must have a website ~

~ Your website must be *kidsafe* ~

~ Your site must not contain stolen artwork or graphics ~

~ Your site must show that you have knowledge of
uploading, linking and displaying graphics.  If you don't
know how to do these things, avoid disappointment and
learn before applying! ~

~ If you have adopted pets from other sites, your site
must show that you are a responsible owner in that all
graphics are correctly linked back to the sites
from which you adopted them ~

~ You must send me your URL by e-mail so I can check
out your site.  I will then send you via return e-mail
the 6 Wee Wicket images you have chosen to set up on
your website.  These images will not be watermarked, unless you
request them to be.  Watermarking is a deterrent against
casual theft of the images but is not a foolproof
preventative.  If you wish, you can display a watermarked
set, as I have done, then e-mail each image to your
applicants after you have checked out their site ~

~ Your website name will be listed on my site as an
official distributor of Wee Wickets, and a link to
your site will be provided ~

~ You may NOT offer ANY of the Wee Wicket images
to anyone else for use in setting up their own Wee
Wicket Adoption Agency!  For that, they must apply to me ~

~ You must clearly display this logo and text
and link them back to me:

~ You MAY NOT ALTER THE WEE WICKET
GRAPHICS IN ANY WAY!! ~

~ You may tell people who adopt Wee Wickets from your
site to link them back to your site, in order to attract
others to adopt Wee Wickets from you ~

~ Under no circumstances may you charge any kind of
fee to adopt Wee Wickets to others.  They are free
to you, and they must be given freely by you to others ~

~ Unless you are going to personally issue each adopted Wee
Wicket by having people send you an application, you must
include the following statement, or one similar to it, on
your Wee Wicket ReAdoption page:

"DO NOT LINK TO THESE GRAPHICS!
SAVE THE ONE YOU WANT TO YOUR HARD
DRIVE BY RIGHT CLICKING THE IMAGE
AND SELECTING "SAVE AS".  YOU CAN
THEN UPLOAD IT TO YOUR OWN SERVER!"

See below for a note on bandwidth, which explains
why the above statement is necessary.  If you are going
to personally issue each Wee Wicket image to their new
owners, you do not need to display the above statement ~

~ You may use the background on this page as a background
for your Wee Wicket ReAdoption Agency page, if you wish.
This is not compulsory, however - you can use any background
you wish ~

~ You must use the following title on your Wee Wickets
ReAdoption Agency page:

"WEE WICKETS OFFICIAL READOPTION AGENCY"

There is a graphic available which has this wording on it.
The URL for this graphic will be sent to you by e-mail.
You can copy and use it, if you wish.  If you don't wish
to use the graphic you must still display the above words
on your ReAdoption Agency page ~

~ You may only choose six (6) Wee Wicket images.
Additional or new images may be made available to you
at my discretion in the future ~

~ You will have ten (10) days from the date of approval of
your site to set up your Agency and display the images
 according to these rules.  If after ten (10) days your
Agency has not been set up you may forfeit your right
to display and/or distribute any Wee Wicket image.  This
time limit is necessary because too many people apply
to become an agency and never post the images.  So if
you're not serious about doing it, and doing it *now*,
then don't do it at all!  :)  ~

What constitutes an "inappropriate website"
for the purposes of Wee Wicket ReAdoption:

An inappropriate website is one which displays
material which is pornographic, which promotes
violence or cruelty to animals, which sells animals
bred in "puppy mills" or pet shops, which advocates
the anti-social attitudes of racism, nazism, war,
political or religious intolerance, or which 
is prejudiced against sexual preference.

Websites of the gay, lesbian and hermaphroditic
community are absolutely NOT considered
inappropriate, unless, like anyone else, their
websites fall into the above categories.

A Note on Bandwidth

If you've heard the expression "bandwidth" but
don't know what it means, the best comparison
I can make to describe it would be to say "switchboard."
If too many people try to use the same phone line,
the lines get jammed.  That, basically, is what bandwith
is - the internet equivalent of a switchboard.  If you
link to a graphic on someone else's site, and if too
many other people are also trying to link to that same
graphic, it "jams up the lines."  That is the reason
you MUST copy all necessary graphics to your hard
drive and upload them to your own server! ~

If you accept the above rules -- and your application guarantees
that you have read and accepted these rules -- then go ahead and ...

Just send me your URL by e-mail, with
"Adoption Agency" in the subject line,
and tell me which 6 images you want!

If these rules seem harsh or undue,
then my Wee Wickets are not for you!
