Preliminary Draft Picks

Here are the original 12 WHA teams preliminary draft picks. To pick these players each team wrote 4 player names on a piece of paper. After the names were written they were announced in ront of the league. Teams which later moved, (i.e. Calgary, Miami and Dayton) brought there players to their new towns. *Quick note - After they picked the players, Ben Hatskin owner of the Winnipeg Jets .told other owners in a very realistic tone, "You guys better not have Bobby Hull on your paper, because i'm going to get him." I think this motivated other owners to bombard the NHL rosters.
