So. You are probably wondering 'how can this guy hate Charizard?' Well, I ask myself, how can I like it?
Charizard is over-rated. In my opinion, even more so than Pikachu.
One fact: Ash has let go of Charizard and then got him back twice already, it is annoying and tedious.
JUST GET RID OF CHARIZARD FOR GOOD!
Another thing, Charizard, like Typhlosion, is the most popular out of the starting Pokémon's evolved forms.
Why always the Fire Pokemon?
It's sad.
Meganium and Venusaur are barely ever chosen over Charizard and Typhlosion.
Meganium and Venusaur have heaps of strategy in them.
People only seem to look at powerful attacks like Flamethrower.
Solarbeam is much more powerful.
Purchase Sunny Day at the Goldenrod Pokémart and teach it to Venusaur.
Use Sunny Day and increase the power of Venusaur's Solarbeam
You won't have to wait 2 turns.
Much better than spooty old Flamethrower.

Another thing, look at Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.
Venusaur is tough against Blastoise, weak against Charizard.
Blastoise is tough against Charizard, weak against Venusaur.
Charizard is tough against Venusaur, weak against Blastoise.
It seems even, right? WRONG!
Charizard is Fire/Flying, giving it double the advantage against Venusaur.
That is unfair and sad.
Charizard cheats at being the strongest by out doing Venusaur double.

Another point, which is also my main point:
EVERYBODY LIKES IT
I hate Pokémon that everybody like, and Charizard is by far the most popular Pokemon.

My favorite starting Pokémon are Bulbasaur and Chikorita, and I would only choose Cyndaquil or Charmander for variation or boredom.
