Star
of Our Lord
Most wondrous
star in the night,
Shining so
beautiful for all to see,
Gladly
casting its marvelous light
Over
mountains, land, and sea.
It stopped,
lovingly and bright,
Over such
poor stable with glee,
Chose a
manger for its resting site,
Where Our
Savior might be.
It
illuminated the coldest night
And guided
shepherd and wiseman,
While the
angels sang hymns afar.
Messenger of
good news its sight,
Peace and
love amongst all men
Brought us,
Lord Jesus, Thy Star!
