FINALLY, A REAL AMERICAN ON THE TICKET

When I first read about McCain's choice of the running mate, someone whom I had never heard before, I felt like I was going to be disappointed, again.

McCain - Palin But when I saw a video of Sarah Palin on the podium giving her acceptance speech, in front of her all-American family and cheering audience, my political instinct told me that something inspiring and electrifying was going to happen. And as I heard her speaking with simple words that hinted optimism, energy, and love of life, praising her husband, her kids, and even a former contender of the opposite party (Hillary Clinton, that is), I knew that something that I hoped for a long time was about to begin. Here came a flesh-and-bones candidate who, through the cracks in concrete-like hermetic barrier that was supposed to keep the outsiders from the two major party nominations, found her way onto the presidential election ticket.

And then when I read her bio on the Internet, about her impressive career as an entrepreneur, a city councilwoman, then the mayor, and now the governor of Alaska, about her decision to not abort her yet unborn ill baby, about her lifetime membership in NRA, and her successful fight against the ole boys network in state government and their "pork barrel" politics, I was elated and full of hope.

And I still am.

For me, she's like the Star-Spangled Banner that's still flying despite all the efforts of globalists, leftists, and profiteers that like the bombs bursting in the air were destructing America.

But later, when I turned to political pundits and TV coverage to learn more about Sarah, I noticed something reprehensive that bordered on disgusting. With faces full of sour disappointment that reflected malice and envy that they must have harbored in their hearts (I suppose), "Liberal" commentators and Democratic politicians were trading venomous jabs at her one after another:

that her pick was McCain's cynical, if not "desperate", plot to win disappointed Hillary's voters (as if Obama couldn't do the same),

that she had "zero" administrative experience (as if Obama had any, except for sitting in the U.S. Senate for just a few years now and being an associate in a law firm, never mind Palin's current job as a state governor and the commander-in-chief of Alaska's National Guard. Obviously, she has zero experience with listening to professional lobbyist and special interest groups - see also FURTHER READINGS at the end of this article),

that she was not a lawyer from Harvard (not even a product of affirmative action) or Yale (thanks God she is not!),

that she would take the country in wrong direction (that was Hillary Clinton's response to Sarah Palin's praising Clinton for a well-run campaign),

and that - get this - her choice as a V.P. candidate might hurt McCain's chances to get elected (can you imagine, stubborn Democrats lamenting that McCain, a Republican all-but-certain nominee, politically hurt himself?).

How typical of them.

It looked as if all the skepticism, criticism, patronizing, discrediting, frivolous accusations, rude questioning, and plain mud throwing, that the so-called "mainstream" media, the Democratic political establishment, and lefty activists were sparing Barack Obama and his mentors and associates from anti-American left were suddenly unloaded on Sarah Palin's unsuspecting head right after she gracefully accepted her nomination. (At least now no one can blame "Liberal" media of giving a popular candidate a pass without due scrutiny.)

Now, we know their true colors.

What these sorry individuals did not vent in their rants was their utmost frustration with having a real person (as opposed to phony politician who will tell you all you want to hear in order to get your vote), a straight shot, a likable positive character, and somebody that the majority of American voters can relate to, on the opposing ticket. Because none of the above can be said about Obama (and his running mate), a masterfully marketed novice with no meaningful record to support his vague promises of "change", who, by himself, may be appealing to lawyers, career politicians, and Washington insiders, as well as to ethno-centered, left-leaning social engineers, and those with globalist tendencies, but not to the mainstream Americans that Sarah Palin and her family are classroom examples of.

Well, finally, we have a real American on the ticket, someone from the outside ruling oligarchies and Washington establishment, someone who is representative of We the People and not of Washington corrupt power structures. What a contrast to her opponents and critics from the Party of Hypocrites, Party of Deceit, Party of National Deconstruction, Party of Anti-Majority Agenda.

I hope that Sarah Palin nomination for the V.P. of the U.S. spells out a farewell to the Party of Evil. She represents what is right with America and, unlike so many Edmund Burke's good men that chose to do nothing, shows genuine determination to prevail. After all, unlike Senators Clinton and Obama, she did not ride any coat tails to get where she is today but had to accomplish everything by means of hard work, strength of character, and persistence.

From the bottom of my heart I wish her that she wins on a landslide. And the possibility that Sen. McCain may be compelled to not serve two terms as the prez makes me feel even more hopeful.

Below are some excerpts from statements by "Liberal" elites, with my comments in italics.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin raises serious questions about his judgment. Why, when the country is fighting two wars, facing an uncertain economy and an energy crisis, did Senator McCain make the choice that he did? Why, with so many other qualified women and men in his party, did John McCain choose Sarah Palin? Sarah Palin is not the right choice. She shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies. John McCain and Sarah Palin will not bring the American people the New Direction they need.”

Ask these questions Barrack Obama, Madam Speaker. After all, he is missing some of the characteristics that you expect from McCain's V.P.

Executive Director of MoveOn.org Eli Pariser: “On his 72nd birthday, Senator McCain has chosen a VP based on her political currency rather than her ability to lead our country in a crisis. If John McCain wins in November, he’ll be the oldest president in U.S. history, and Sarah Palin would be a heartbeat away from being our commander in chief. It’s not only fair, but critical in this case, to ask if she’s up for the job of commander in chief. We just can’t afford a gamble like this with our future.”

That fact that a "mellow-yellow" novice Obama with absolutely on meaningful executive experience, not even a commandership of the Alaska National Guard, would become the commander-in-chief and not just "a heartbit away" of the U.S. Armed Forces doesn't seem to bother Mr. Pariser at all.

Hilary Clinton (in response to Palin's directly mentioning Clinton by name in her acceptance speech last Friday: "Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren't finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all."): "While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Governor Palin will add an important new voice to the debate.”

You're welcome, Hillary. You just showed your true nature. I am glad you will not have a power over me or my country.

Politico.com: "Palin’s hubby and son not Republicans."

This must bother all Democrats a lot.

Other "Liberal" hyenas joined the cry.

Ass. Press: "Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the so-called 'hockey mom' credited with reforms of her tiny, out-of-the-way state."

Wow. How about Ass. Press darling Obama’s “executive” accomplishments?

Barack Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton: "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade (the Supreme Court's abortion rights ruling), the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies."

Kim Gandy of the National Organization for Women: "a cynical effort to appeal to disappointed Hillary Clinton voters and get them to vote, ultimately, against their own self-interest."

As if Obama couldn't do the same.

"Governor Palin may be the second woman vice-presidential candidate on a major party ticket, but she is not the right woman. Sadly, she is a woman who opposes women's rights, just like John McCain," Gandy said.

So much concern about women's right to chose. How about women's right to get on the presidential election ticket?
