The climax ending of TGITW is filmed in Mo Shek, China, showing a big fight, Li Ya Peng, Roger Kwok, Wallace Huo and Lau Chung Yan fought in mid air. Lau Chung Yan sat astride a million dollar huge dragon, radiating an air of conquering. In the end, the dragon exploded and Lau Chung Yan jumped off, a very frightening scene.
For this scene, the crew had to have lots of workers helping to pull the wires, everyone had to sweat away while working. The four stars, Li Ya Peng, Roger Kwok, Wallace Huo and Lau Chung Yan didn't have an easy time either. In the boiling temperatures, they had to wear think Mongolian clothing and fight while dangling in mid air, sweating outside and in and still had to act, they said it was like washing their clothes (?-not sure abt this bit)
This ancient martial arts series has snared Li Ya Peng, Wallace Huo, Roger Kwok, Chan Yi Yung, Michelle Yip and Ko Yeun Yeun, stars of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the crew hurried with the filming in an attempt to have it all finished by Dun Um Festival (festival coming up where you eat glutinous rice packed with leaves and watch dragon boat racing). At 11 something pm at night, when everyone had finished filming the last scene, the director cried "cut", the crew immediately announced that a big supper was waiting for them, it is to celebrate finishing filming and the celebrate early the up coming festival.
Michelle said, "Director, can we have a picture of me and Wallace to use as a picture for the ending credits?" After these words, everyone pretended not to hear, those in charge of props moved props, those in charge of luggage handled the luggage, they didn't even forget with the final drinks coming up to purposely annoy the young fun-loving woman. As to Roger Kwok and Chan Yi Yung, who play a perfect couple in the series, they usually go out and look around together but on this final night their attitude changed completely from the normal fighting and arguing, to sweet and regret and separating. After the feast, they reverted back to their normal behaviour, jokingly calling goodbye to their "husband" and "wife", just like a maried couple about to be separated for a bit.
Completing the filming of TGITW, the film will now go to cutting, all the actors are going on to their next project. Li Ya Peng returned to Beijing instantly to help his leg recover, Roger Kwok returned to Hong Kong to help promote his new TVB series and to prepare for a new series, Wallace Huo returns to Taiwan for a rest before his next project, Chan Yi Yung got Lau Chung Yan to go to Taiwan in July to film a new series.
