Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament and Auction February, 1997

Sponsored by The Tallahassee Tiger Sharks Fan Club, The Fin-Atics to benefit the March of Dimes.

Summerbrooke Golf Course
Monday, March 17, 1997
10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start

Teams must be at the golf course and in cart by 9:30 a.m.

Lunch will be provided by Subway and dinner by Fazoli's.

Each team will have four players, one Tiger Sharks team or staff member and three other golfers. Team selection will be handled on a first come, first served basis so be sure to sign up early. Carol Harris, the event coordinator, will begin taking orders January 30. If you wish to field your own four-person team, please feel free to register with Carol H. Group photographs will be available for purchase.

The format of the day is a Shotgun Start at 10:00 am at Summerbrooke. Immediately following the last teams' return to the Club House, there will be a presentation of trophies and the Charity Auction. Prices are as follows:

What's Up for Grabs?

I am sure most of the Fin-Atics are aware of our Third Annual Golf Tournament at Summerbrook Golf Course on Monday, March 17, but do you know there is a charity auction immediately following the presentation of the trophies for the tournament?

This year we will be auctioning an autographed jersey from the Florida Panthers, the Carolina Monarchs, and, hopefully, an autographed jersey from the Utah Grizzlies (Sean O'Brien). Other articles include "Beer for a Year" courtesy Buckhead Brewery, an autographed football from Coach Bobby Bowden, a basketball from Coach Pat Kennedy, and a baseball from Coach Mike Martin and other things of interest.

Please come join us for the fun at the tournament and the auction. The money collected from the auction will be pre sented to the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation.

Fin-Atics enter Group Wars

Group Wars is a beer promotion sponsored by The Buffalo Connection. Basically, its a contest to see which group will drink the most pitchers before the end of the semester, April 25. (Yes this is targeted mainly at college students, but The Buffalo Connection is our place too.) Whichever group wins receives a two kegger party. Plans are for the Fin-Atics to win and host an end-of-season party for the Tiger Sharks (schedules permitting.)

So we need everyone's help. Anytime you decide to order a pitcher at the Buffalo Connection, please tell them to add one to the Fin-A tics Group War Total. And remember Tiger Sharks players and staff, you're counted as honorary Fin-Atics!

Third Annual Fin-Atics Banquet

Currently scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at The Moon.

Cocktails will be served at 6:00 pm with the dinner buffet starting at 7:00 pm.

Prices for Fin-A tics members are: $25 for adults and $15 for children.

Non-Fin-Atics prices are: $30 for adults and $20 for children.

Help Feed the Hungry (hockey players that is)

Help the Fin-Atics defray the cost of the awards banquet. Sponsor a portion of a player's dinner for $10 (or more!) As with the Christmas Party, this sponsorship is only for the a player's meal, not a specific player. Players will not be required to sit with anyone on basis that the Fin-Atic sponsored a meal.
