Fin-Atics Player of the Month - Mark Richards February, 1997

Mark Richards joins the elite list of the Fin-A tics Player of the Month.

Ever since Coach Terry Christensen named Richards the No.1 goaltender back in '94, Tiger Sharks fans have had the joy of watching him guard the pipes.

Originally from Abington, Pennsylvania, Mark was drafted by Winnipeg in the 1992 Supplemental draft. He has played in the International Hockey League, the East Coast Hockey League and the American Hockey League.

Since coming to Tallahassee, Richards has posted impressive numbers. He has the third best all-time ECHL playoff GAA (2.73). Currently he is 15- 8-1, with a 2.95 GAA. All this while taking on the important role of Player/Assistant coach. Mark Richards truly deserves to be this months' Fin-Atics Player of the Month!

NOTE: Mark was called up to the Carolina Monarchs as backup goalie to David Lemanowicz for approximately two to three weeks.
