| RUG HOOKING, a craft born of American thrift, is an important feature of American Folk Art. Having worked in various medium throughout my life I have found rug hooking to be an all consuming passion. Being raised in a home where I came to value found materials, other peoples discards (trash & garbage) to be hidden forms of art. While constantly looking for a way to meaningfully express myself artistically I discovered rug hooking and it is the deal for me. Whether giving beginning or advanced lessons, sweating over the dye pots, creating new and unique designs or just HOOKING with my friends.............I LOVE IT ALL !!!!!!!!! |
