"Energize."

Two men materialized in the transporter room. They were partly covered with snow, and shivering with cold.

When they stepped down from the platform, Dr. McCoy quickly approached. "Thank God you found him, Jim. A couple more hours, and it would have been too late."

"You need not concern yourself, Doctor. You shall not get rid of me so easily." The Vulcan voice was as calm as ever.

"Take him to sickbay immediately", McCoy ordered.

"A few hours' rest in my quarters will be sufficient."

"Do as he says, Spock", Kirk told his freezing friend. "We have to check you up."

"You too, Jim", McCoy decided. "Even if you spent a shorter time on that ice field of a planet, you could have frostbites and other things I'll have to look at."

In sickbay, McCoy ordered both men into the showers.

"What showers?" The captain was puzzled.

"The showers I had installed last week", the doctor hurriedly explained. "For a number of reasons. Now, are you going in there, or do I have to rip your clothes off myself?"

"You wish." Kirk gave the doctor a roguish, if tired smile.

The warm water caressed their frozen bodies, and both men could feel life returning. Then, they heard McCoy's familiar voice:

"Don't dry yourselves off, just grab a towel. Then, go through that door."

Kirk and Spock looked at each other, and then at the new door. The doctor had obviously made some major changes. They stepped inside -- and were engulfed by a welcoming, steaming heat.

"A sauna." Kirk chuckled. "Exactly what we need."

The room was very small, entirely panelled with wood, and it had two benches built into the wall. The benches were at different levels, making a staircase. Kirk and Spock let their tired bodies drop on the upper bench, one in each corner. They sighed with relief at the warmth, the calm and the quiet, so different from the roaring blizzard they had escaped.

After a while, McCoy joined them, dressed only in a white towel.

"I told Chapel and M'Benga they wouldn't be needed anymore. Now, let's have a look at you." The doctor quickly eyed Spock. "You're looking good." Then, a quick glance at the captain. "You, too." He looked them over once more, and this time it took a little longer. "In fact, you're both looking great."

"Why, thank you, Bones", Kirk said sarcastically. "There is nothing like a professional physician's opinion."

"Whatever you say. I don't think a nice hot sauna bath could hurt. Right, Spock?" The doctor smiled at the now completely relaxed Vulcan.

"This must be one of your least unpleasant treatments, Doctor."

"And it's getting better." McCoy's smile broadened. "Get ready for a treatment that will make your green blood sing." He opened the door for three seconds and brought in a bucket of cold water, along with a bundle of --

'Birch twigs. I should have known birch twigs were involved.' Kirk let his head fall back against the wooden wall. "Bones, I don't think -- "

"It's not what you think, Jim. This time, it's really only about a nice, relaxing massage for the whole body. Trust me."

'The last time I trusted you, you spanked my butt and fucked me with a vibrator,' Kirk thought.

McCoy dipped the birch twigs into the water. "Watch me." He commenced striking a series of very light blows to his own legs, arms, and torso.

"It doesn't hurt a bit. It helps the blood circulation, and your skin feels wonderful. This is an old Finnish technique I learned at a medical convention on Proxima Centauri III."

He looked at Spock with his innocent blue eyes and his most amiable smile. "Want to give it a try?"

The science officer nodded. "It might prove interesting."

"Lie down on your back, and relax."

Spock did as he was told, and McCoy let the long, slender birch twigs dance a light ballet all over the Vulcan's body. The colour of Spock's skin deepened, his breath became slower and more even. It almost seemed as if Spock found some kind of meditation in the sensations brought upon his tired flesh.

Kirk watched with fascination. Meanwhile, the heat was doing things to him. He felt heavier, and weaker. His body was glistening with sweat, as was McCoy's, and even Spock was glowing with a faint shimmer. Spock's dark-haired chest was rising and falling, his nipples hardening -- the captain shook his head. He was definitely becoming dizzy from the heat.

"I'm going -- " He had to clear his throat when he heard his own voice. "I'm going into the shower."

"Good idea, Jim", the doctor smiled. You should take a really cold shower right after a sauna bath. It locks the warmth inside your body, and stimulates your skin just like a good birch massage."

'God, I hope not,' the captain thought.

The almost ice-cold water cleared his head, and made him feel thoroughly refreshed. Should he get dressed, or should he join his friends for another sitting in the sauna? A low moan coming from the other side of the door startled him, and he went back inside.

Spock was lying on his stomach now, with a towel over his hips. McCoy was sitting beside him, covering the Vulcan's back with an oily substance. Spock's eyes were closed, and as McCoy's experienced fingers dug into his shoulders, he made a sound. Kirk realized with a shock that the moan he had heard earlier was the sound of his first officer expressing physical pleasure.

Suddenly, Spock's hand lashed out, and McCoy's arm was caught in a grip of steel.

"And the massage oil, Doctor? At which medical convention did you learn about Vulcan responses to sandalwood?"

"I don't know what you're talking about -- "

"The concentration is extremely low, but it is perceptible. If you wished to make an experiment with an aphrodisiac, it would have been ethical to inform the subject."

Kirk felt the heat rise in his face, and it had nothing to do with the surrounding temperature. "You -- dirty old man. You were planning to seduce Spock!"

McCoy tried to turn on his innocent look again, but didn't fool anyone. "I only wanted him to feel good. What are you raising hell about?"

Kirk angrily threw some cold water in his face. It didn't help. Defiantly, he announced: "If there's going to be any Vulcan-seducing on my ship, I will be the one to do it."

Spock's eyebrow rose until it could not possibly go any higher, before he assumed his usual unreadable expression.

"Well, strike me pink", the doctor whispered.

"That could be arranged, Doctor", Kirk snarled. "I believe you are long overdue for a taste of your own medicine."

The captain picked upp the bundle of birch twigs. "Hold him down, Spock. Use the Vulcan Spanking Grip."

"There is no such thing -- "

"Invent one."

Spock looked curiously at McCoy, who was trying hard to suppress an impish grin, and decided to play along. He gracefully gestured to the doctor, and they changed positions.

Kirk lifted the rod and gave the doctor the birching of his life.

The Vulcan Spanking Grip turned out to be more of a hug. Spock was holding McCoy tightly in his arms, listening to the soft whimpers, brushing damp hair out of the doctor's eyes. Both their bodies were slippery with clean sweat, a strange, new sensation to the Vulcan.

"Do you think he's had enough, Spock?"

Spock, the touch telepath, knew the answer. "I believe this will be sufficient -- as for now."

"He's been a really naughty boy, hasn't he?"

"If I were human, I would probably say that the good doctor has been fucking with us."

"Agreed. Any further suggestions?"

"You have already established that the punishment should fit the crime, Captain."

"Would you have the honor, Mr. Spock?"

"I would be honored, but is it not the Captain's duty?"

"I have complete confidence in your abilities, Mr. Spock. Besides, I administered the first part of the punishment. You may indulge yourself."

Dr. McCoy listened to his friends' conversation with growing enthusiasm, hardly believing what he was hearing. Not in his wildest dreams had he imagined a scenario quite like this.

"Yes, Captain. Doctor, would you pass the oil?"

Kirk sat down, suddenly needing to rest. He relaxed against the wall, facing McCoy, who was on his hands and knees with Spock behind him. Kirk coolly watched the doctor's face reveal everything that was happening.

McCoy met his gaze, narrowing his eyes only briefly as he experienced a moment of pain. Then, his eyes widened, and then they clouded, and then his lips parted slightly.

Kirk lifted his gaze and looked directly at the Vulcan. Spock was moving very slowly, his hands squeezing at McCoy's hips, his eyes even darker than usual as he looked right back at the captain.

They were all very quiet.

The towel in Kirk's lap stirred and bulged. He didn't try to hide it. He treated his friends to the knowledge of his arousal, and knowing that they knew aroused him further.

The Vulcan was breathing faster, occasionally biting his lip, visibly straining to control his body.

"Bones." Kirk's commanding voice broke the silence. "Touch yourself." It was an order.

The doctor's eyes were still fixed upon the captain's. Without hesitation, he gripped his own erection and moved his hand slowly, but firmly.

After only a few strokes, McCoy groaned aloud, and the next moment, Spock collapsed on top of him.

The two men lay panting for a while, exhausted.

When they looked up, Kirk was still watching them. He took some water in his cupped hands and splashed it in his face. Then he rose, adjusting the towel around his waist. The others looked at him, questioning.

"Gentlemen, I don't think sickbay is meant to be used for this kind of activities." He paused.

"My quarters, in 10 minutes."

Three men rushed for the showers.
