OK, Mycos... I'm trusting
you here... you sound like a sincere
intelligent person who is
actually interested.. so I'll respond
to your request.
Of course there is a simple or "dumbded
down.. stick model" type
explanation of this theory.. but only an intelligent,
constructive person can benefit
from it.
So.. to proceed; the
first thing you have to get straight is
exactly WHAT this theory
says is the physical cause of "God".
After you understand that
much, then you can tackle the problem of
trying to understand HOW
the theory PROVES it.
So, first things first:
what is the physical mechanism that has
been discovered that is "causing
God"? The answer to that is:
1. The so called "Secular Trend":

OK, what are these
two curves? The "Secular Trend" is the well known
increase in human height,
weight, strength, brain growth, intelligence,
etc. that has been documented
over the past 100 years. Legend has it
that it was first discovered
when people noticed in museums that no
modern man could fit into
a Mediaeval suit of armor, because we are too
big. This lead to the discovery
that the Secular Trend is caused mainly
by increasing nutrition,
caused by the slow general increase in the
Standard of Living in the
entire World. It has been proven that it is
NOT a genetic effect.. but
quite clearly a "Nurture" effect.
The study of this
fact leads us to the second curve.. the "growth curve
deficit" curve. Here, we
see the biological explanation of the
Secular Trend. What has been
happening is that Man apparently NEVER
has actually been "full grown"
(because of the historical struggle
for survival), and is only
slowly approaching that state as the
Standard of Living increases.
Therefore, EVERYBODY has what is called
a "growth curve deficit",
as you can see from the second curve.
Now, as far as "God" is concerned...
the important thing about curve
2 is that it shows clearly
that NO ONE'S BRAIN IS FULLY GROWN...!!!
There has NEVER been a man
on Earth who has had 100% of his brain
fully functional. This, I
claim, is the physical explanation of the
phenomena of God.
How does it cause
God? That's simple. If 15% of your brain is
missing.. obviously you can
only "see" 85% of REALITY. How do we
know this? From Mental Retardation.
People who are Mentally Retarded
are cases of "arrested brain
growth" simply speaking. At some stage in
their development their brain
stops growing. This leaves them with
for instance "the mind of
a 10 year old". It turns out that
EVERY PERSON IN THE HUMAN
RACE has this same problem to a more or less
degree, including me and
you.
Now, why is this effect
called "God"? The reason it's called "God"
is that it turns out, under
normal circumstances, that the growth
curve deficit (of the brain)
CAN slightly decrease during life.
And furthermore, slight brain
growth can be boosted by various
kinds of "mental therapy"
(usually called "religious ritual" by the
way). When some of this latent
ungrown brain suddenly pops into
development and becomes active...
it produces a "visible change
in the person's REALITY",
and the person says "..God just changed
reality", or "I saw a miracle"
etc.
Now, there you have
the basic theory. The next step is to discuss
HOW YOU PROVE THIS (which
is what my theory is all about). It turns
out that a stunning proof
of this has emerged from Psychometrics and
General Relativity, which
rigorously proves this to two decimal
point accuracy.
But before we get
into all that, I suggest we discuss the above
"simple model" of what God
is first. Mainly, we should discuss HOW
this mechanism explains all
of the "miracles" of religion, the
complete "history" of religion,
and the general notion that "there
is a God" in the first place.
As you can see, this
discovery proves that "God is real" and that
"God is a definite measurable
physical force" and it also proves that
the philosophical notion
that "God is an idea" is absolutely provably
flat out WRONG.
