Announcements (December 28, 2008)

1. Our second collection is for our parish Birthright. This past year Holy Family Birthright has helped many young women with counseling and encouragement during a crisis pregnancy. Your donations will help our Birthright volunteers continue their life saving - and soul saving work. Thank you for your generosity.

2. Our Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Dungeness Crab Dinner and Dance on January 31. The bulletin has more information.

3. Our children's Christmas Concert will take place on January 6 at 6 p.m., here in our church. All are welcome.

4. January 1 is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God – a Holy Day of Obligation. We will have a bilingual Mass on New Year’s Eve at 11 p.m., followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament – a wonderful way to bring in the New Year 2009. On New Year’s Day we will have Mass at 10 in English and 6 p.m. in Tagalog.

5. If you did not pick up a bulletin last Sunday or on Christmas day, please take one after Mass. It is a combined Christmas - New Years bulletin. It contains important Stewardship information. We are making a special appeal for Year-End donations. Also we remind you that you may donate online by going to our parish website or using the link on Fr. Bloom's home page.

6. Parish Calendars for 2009 are available at the church entrances. Please note that the calendars are bilingual - that is, English and Spanish. They are free, courtesy of the Associated Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Seattle. We hope to have some English only calendars by the first Sunday of January.

7. In Fr. Bloom's column you will find information on the Randy Terlicker Fund and the dedication of our new St. Michael's Chapel. The bulletin also has information for parents who have a child to be baptized, for young people interested in vocation discernment and much more.

8. Thank you to all who made donations for trees, flowers and Christmas decorations for our church. In the vestibule you will see a display listing donors.
