1. Our two-bit collection is for a project not covered by the Capital Campaign: the improvement of the acoustics in the Tice Hall. As you know the Tice Hall is wonderful for medium size gatherings, but the noise can sometimes make conversations very difficult. We are hoping to do a professional study of the Tice Hall acoustics – and at the same time evaluate the acoustics in our church. The thirty-hour professional study and report costs about two thousand dollars. We have already raised half that amount and hope to raise the full amount in this collection. Anything over the cost of the study will go toward purchase of acoustical tile and the payment for their installation. Thank you for supporting this project.

2. Our Knights invite you to reserve your tickets for the annual Crab Feed and Lovers Dance on January 26. You can find more information in the bulletin.

3. In the vestibule you will see a display on this year’s response to parish Stewardship drive. Please check to be sure your name is on the list. Pledge forms are available. Also Capital Campaign information and envelopes are available. There is still time to make a year-end contribution to the parish Capital Campaign, to Holy Family School or other parish needs. According to IRS regulations, in order to receive a 2007 tax deduction for donations, they must be postmarked or received in the offering or the office by Dec. 31. Anything postmarked or received in the office after Dec. 31 cannot be tax deductible for 2007 regardless of the date on the check.

4. If you have not been confirmed, we invite you to participate in the Confirmation Classes. Bishop Tyson will come to Holy Family Parish this spring to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. If you are sixteen years or older – or will be sixteen years old by spring of 2008, you may register for these classes. The first class will take place on Wednesday, January 9. 5. Next Saturday is the 13th anniversary of the death of Randy Terlicker. A graduate of Holy Family School, Randy gave his life in the January 5, 1995, Pang Warehouse Fire. An Endowment and Tuition Assistance Fund has been established in Randy’s memory. Holy Family Principal Glen Lutz has a letter in English and Spanish on Randy Terlicker and the Fund that bears his name. Next weekend's two-bit collection will go toward that Randy Terlicker Tuition Assistance Fund.

6. Fr. Velasco and Fr. Bloom will be available for confessions this Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., here in the church.

7. In the bulletin you also find the schedule of Masses for New Years. It is the Feast of Mary the Mother of God and is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a bilingual vigil Mass at 11 p.m. on New Years Eve, as well as Masses in English, Spanish, Filipino – and Latin – on New Year’s Day. Bulletins are available at the church entrances. Also on the way out of the church, you may pick up a 2008 Classic Art calendar courtesy of Yarington’s Funeral Home. The Calendars are available in English and Spanish.

1. La Segunda colecta es para un proyecto especial: El mejoramiento de las acusticas del Salon Tice – el primer nivel de la escuela. Como ustedes saben, el Salon Tice es excelente para reuniones de 80 a 100 personas, pero el ruido hace dificil las conversaciones. Queremos hacer un estudio profesional de las acusticas en el Salon Tice – y al mismo tiempo evaluar las acusticas del templo. Este estudio cuesta unos dos mil dolares. Ya tenemos la mitad y esperamos alcanzar el total con esta colecta. Dinero recebido sobre esta cantidad se usar para comprar tejas acusticas y pagar por su instalacion. Gracias por apoyar este proyecto.

2. En la entrada del templo hay una exposicion sobre Mayordomia – o sea, la generosidad o co-responsabilidad. Hay una lista de todos los feligreses que se han inscrito para apoyar la parroquia con su generosidad. Favor de leer la lista para estar seguro que su nombre está incluido. Si su nombre no esta en la lista, se puede llenar uno de los formularios para ser un participante activo en nuestra parroquia. Gracias por su colaboracion.

3. El proximo sabado es el aniversario trece del fallecimiento de Randy Terlicker. Un graduado de la Escuela de Holy Family, Randy dio su vida el 5 de enero de 1995 en el incendio Pang aquí en Seattle. Un Fondo ha sido establecido en su memoria. El Director de nuestra escuela parroquial, el Señor Glen Lutz, tiene una carta en ingles y español sobre este Fondo. El proximo domingo la segunda colecta sera para el Fondo Randy Terlicker.

4. El dia sabado habrá oportunidad para donar sangre. Toda persona mayor de 16 años puede dar el don de la vida. Hay mas informacion en el boletin.

5. Nuestros jovenes presentarán una pastorela navidadeña este domingo, despues de la misa de 12:30 p.m.

6. En el boletin hay el horario de misas para el Año Nuevo. Es la Fiesta de Maria, Madre de Dios, y es un Dia de Precepto. Habrá una misa bilingüe a las 11 p.m. y una misa en español a las 12:30 p.m. el dia primero de enero. Favor de llevar un boletin para mayor informacion. Tambien al salirse del templo se puede recoger un almanaque para el año 2008. Los calendarios están en español e inglés.
