1. The two-bit collection is for tuition assistance. Your contributions will help lower income families send their children to our parish school. Also in the bulletin you will see information of the School Annual Fund. This year Holy Family School celebrates 80 years of excellence in Catholic Education. We are asking people to consider donating one dollar for each year that Holy Family Parish School has served Southwest Seattle. Larger – or smaller – donations are gratefully accepted.

2. This Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. The bulletin contains the complete schedule of Ash Wednesday Masses and services, as well as Lenten regulations regarding fasting and abstinence. In Fr. Bloom’s column you will find additional suggestions for the observance of the Lenten season. Please notice the Mass with Anointing of Sick, the visit of Fr. Peter West of Priests for Life and Cathedral Walk on March 9.

3. The Young Adult Bible Study begins this Tuesday evening. The bulletin has contact information for those who wish to participate in this 6 to 8 week Bible study.

4. Stations of the Cross begin this Friday at 6 p.m., followed by Soup Supper in the Tice Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for Lenten prayer and fellowship. All are welcome.

5. This week there are three scheduled times for Lenten confessions: Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday evening at 7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.

6. Today’s bulletin has a list of 2008 Pledge Parishioners and other information about parish Stewardship. Also it has an insert on How You Can Save Someone’s Life Today – from Priests for Life. Please be sure to take home a bulletin. They are available on tables at church entrances. Thank you.

1. El 10 de febrero habrá una presentacion sobre el Metódo Billings de Planficación Natural de la Familia, dada por la Dra. Gina Landicho-Wicks, M.D. Se llevará a cabo a la 1:45 p.m. (después de la misa de 12:30) en el Salon Tice. Habrá cuidado de niños. Para mayor informacion se puede hablar con el Padre Felipe, el Diacono Abel o llamar a la oficina parroquial.

2. La fecha para la Caminata a la Catedral es el 8 de marzo. Saldremos a las 7:30 a.m. y habrá celebracion de la misa en la Catedral a las 12:30 p.m. Todos son bienvenidos a participar en esta peregrinacion.

3. El boletin tiene una hoja en español sobre el Fondo Anual de nuestra Escuela Parroquial. Favor de llevar un boletin para noticias en castellano e inglés sobre la escuela y parroquia.
