Announcements (May 6, 2007)

1. Since today is Commitment Sunday for the Annual Catholic Appeal, there is no two-bit collection. Thank you to all who have made a pledge. In the bulletin you will find more information on how your pledge helps others in Western Washington. If you have not yet filled out an Annual Appeal envelope, remember that you can make a one-time gift or a monthly pledge for ten months. Besides writing a check, you can use your Credit Card or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). On the envelope you will find a suggested pledge plan, encouraging you to donate one percent of your household earnings to the Annual Catholic Appeal. If - for whatever reason - you are unable to make a donation at this time, please write “prayers” in the pledge box. Your envelope will be counted toward our parish goal of 460 pledges. Remember that once we reach our parish goal of $58,048, everything over that amount will be returned to the parish in the form of a rebate. This year we will use the rebate to convert the room off the vestibule into a protected prayer room, with the refurbished statues of St. Michael the Archangel and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

2. In this Sunday’s bulletin you will find information about the school auction and tuition assistance results, as well as much other important information about our school and parish. Please be sure to take home a bulletin. They are available on the tables at the church entrances. Also at the entrances you will find copies of Archbishop Brunett’s article in defense of the individual right of conscience. It is well worth reading. Please pick up a copy, take it home and share it with others.

3. Finally: Due to popular demand, we have more Brigittine Monastery Fudge for sale in the vestibule. The one pound containers sell for nine dollars and make a wonderful Mother's Day gift.
