B r e a k  D a n c i n g       [b boyz]

B-boying is a form of hip-hop dancing, which is known as breaking. It consists of footwork, spinning moves and freezes. B-boying came from the Bronx in New York. The expression "B-boy" came from Kool Herc, who was a B-boy in the Bronx. B-boy stands for break boys. They were called that becuz they danced to the "break parts" in music. In the 1980īs, breaking spread out of New York to the rest of the world. B-boying became very popular as "Breakdance" by media. But when TV stopped showing breakdancing, people thought that it was only a fad that was gonna burn out. Some B-boys stopped b-boying just because of wut people thought. After 1985 the "winter period" came for the B-boys, it was a time when not so many danced, just the few and the proud. It started to come back around 1990. I donīt know exactly how it happened, but I guess it was by the support of the real B-boys who never stopped b-boying during the "winter period". I am tryin to learn how to break right now, my friend Henry first introduced it to me during my Sophomore year. I barely kno anything, but I'm learning the basics. It takes a lot of determination and strength. How does J Tha Breaka sound?
