The other evening I was heading toward home on a Twin Cities freeway. It was dark, being the winter season, and my car (along with everyone else's) was slowly crawling along in so-called "rush"-hour traffic (which actually instead is: congestion-hour traffic).

I noticed the speed signs off to the side of the interstate: 65 maximum, 40 minimum. Looking at my speedometer, I (along with everyone else on the interstate) were crawling along, bumper-to-bumper, at approximately 10 or so mph.

Clearly, every one of us were breaking the law....no matter WHAT the excuse we could have concocted to an arresting police officer who might decide to randomly pick and choose who to ticket.

What good did THAT do?

When a heterosexual soldier falls on a grenade that explodes to save his homosexual fellow soldiers, what good does that do? When a creationist young man overboard in cold ocean water gives his life preserver to an old-woman evolutionist who survives while he drowns, what good does that do?

Let's say that a guy randomly selects some kid, then goes over and pushes the kid off a cliff to the kid's death. Then that guy takes a .45 and blows his brains out. Was the act of killing himself considered murdering himself......or instead [legitimate] execution as rightful punishment for murdering the kid?

Jesus Christ let Himself be arrested, beaten, and crucified to death.....when He could easily have rescued Himself, or been rescued, to save His life rather than be lynched by a bunch of jealous jewish thugs:

John 8:59 So they took up stones to throw at him; but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.

Matthew 26:53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?

John 10:18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again; this charge I have received from my Father."

Of course, Jesus disqualified Himself from being guilty of indirect or passive suicide because He was resurrected and came back to life after his crucifixion death. In contrast to Him, others who commit suicide and do not come back to life are indeed permanently guilty of murdering themselves - for whatever supposedly good or evil motive they would purport or be purported to have had. [My favorite reasoning for suicide prevention!]

Although executions - in contrast to murder - do not necessarily have to be done by commissioned government law-enforcement officers, capital-punishment-enforcing medical doctors giving lethal injections, or commissioned military soldiers, most legitimate executions are done by such designated authorized executioners instead of civilians or peasant citizens.

Which brings us to the question of killing babes in the womb, mis-described by the absurd buzzphrase: "reproductive choice" or "reproductive health."

"Reproductive" choice? "Reproductive" "health?"

That is as ridiculous as looking at a toilet bowl full of newly-deposited diarrhea and calling such: "nutrition choice" or "nutrition health." Or jumping out of a airplane without a parachute and calling it: "levitation choice" or "levitation safety."

AWAY with the non-laughable and nonsensical mis-verbage: "reproductive" choice or "reproductive health!" There is absolutely NOTHING "reproductive" about killing babes in the womb.....whether that is considered convenience/coverup murder or legitimate execution.

And it is difficult to even consider killing womb-babes as "legimate execution" - although there are some references in Scripture which might imply that in certain circumstances:

Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock!

[Oh, pardon me. Those previously mentioned were already born and thus out of the womb].

Genesis 38:24 About three months later Judah was told, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; and moreover she is with child by harlotry." And Judah said, "Bring her out, and let her be burned."

[Obviously, if the pregnant woman was burned, the babe inside would die also! Interesting it is to note that Tamar was not burned, so the babe also survived. Reminds me of Isaac on the altar not being knifed to death and also not burned as a sacrifice by father Abraham.]

ARE babes in the womb innocent?

Romans 9:11 ....though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad, in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of his call...

Should such innocent babes be destroyed by guilty, planned-parentlessness, would-have-been parents committing murder with the conspiratorial collusion of those in "medical" "clinics" (i.e. abortuaries) committing (not "performing") abortion-homicide?

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

The personhood of the non-born human babe in the womb is indicated by Scripture. For example, the transliterated-into-English-lettering Greek letters: gastri echousais seem to have something to do with a woman being: "with child" - and references containing such Greek words are found in such New-Testament "with child" references as Mt 1:18, Mt 24:19, Mr 13:17, Lu 2:5, Lu 21:23, 1Th 5:3, and Re 12:2.

Common-sense rationality is behind the following verse:

Isaiah 45:10 Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' or to a woman, 'With what are you in travail?'"

Job 11:12 But a stupid man will get understanding, when a wild ass's colt is born a man.

The destiny of the non-born human-babe fetus plainly reveals human-soul destiny if the child is allowed to continue to develop:

In a pluralistic society such as present-day America, and whenever diverse individuals get together in a discussion group, the nonthinking, rebellious, and insane will declare their objections, non-submission toward, non-belief in, and non-obedience against the Absolute Standard of Judeo-Christian Holy Scripture and Scriptural Applications in Public Places.....despite the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which - (correctly interpreted) - implies that 'Congress (and other judicial and executive government agencies) shall make no law establishing anti-Christian religion (such as atheism or cultism) nor prohibiting the free exercise of true Christian religion (as defined by the best of the KJV, RSV, NASV, and other canonical-66-book English translations of The Holy Bible, in relation to the inerrant ben Asher Masoretic Hebrew Text of the Old Testament and the Scrivener/Trinitarian Greek Text of the New Testament)'.

Every fool has his or her own culturally-diverse opinion, and they all are incongruously incompatible and irreconcilable against each other. Among such irrationals, any kind of a unified common-sense and Scripturally-sound consensus is virtually impossible. If God's Word is not given free expression, Satan (and NOT the Lord) will take over the group spirit.

A moderator or group leader who does not procedurally (or however) aggressively restrict the aberrant during townhall-type discussions, while also thwarting whatever is pertinently mentioned of whatever within the totality of the sacred-66-books Holy Bible during discussion, insures failure and the lack of any constructive progress in defining issues and coming to appropriate and effective solutions. In that case, it behooves the sane and sensible to not only NOT participate in such groups, NOR be overruled and overridden by wrong majority opinion thus ignoring and misrepresenting correct but silent minority conclusion, but to even attack them when necessary and possible:

The sensible and sane will have no problem accomodating to proper and logical applications of The Holy Bible in all areas of public life, such as driving on the right side of the road and not the left on a two-lane highway or road, entering into a store on the right and not on the left per Ecclesiastes 10:2 (contrary to the stupid craziness of Byerly's and Cosco having entrances on the left), stopping for red stoplights and proceeding forward for green ones, not going around completely naked in general public view on frigid winter days, not murdering babes in the wombs of expectant mothers anticipating their little bundles of joy, not having to pollute scientific non-destructively open-mindedness by refusing to listen to nor read silly and heretical tales of pseudo-scientific evolutionary million/billion-years mythology in public, private, and parochial-school classrooms, and not having to see (in general public view) general-public news-media photos of a kissie-kissie California or Massachusetts homogay man wearing an anti-Proposition-8 tuxedo-wedding top sodomizingly stick his penis into the mouth or rectum of another kissie-kissie California or Massachusetts homogay man wearing an anti-Proposition-8 tuxedo-wedding top.

And we haven't even mentioned antisemitic Al Qaeda yet.

But I would be amiss against Holy Writ if I left you with the impression that, when faced with adversarial confrontation, all the good guys can do is retreat.....particularly in view of the one-sided demonic bigotry and slander of such cable-TV-conveyed subversiveness as imposed by some news-commentary programs featuring anti-Bush, anti-Obama, anti-Christian sht-hed-jerk anchors and sasy-pis/tight-ass-twit guests on MSNBC and their ilk.

Proverbs 29:19 By mere words a servant is not disciplined, for though he understands, he will not give heed.

Thus what frequently is eventually expedient is:

Proverbs 26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the back of fools.

That might take turning off a belligerant's mike or utilizing the service of a sargeant-in-arms to physically escort one or more trouble-causers away from the discussion and off the premises.

At least on some things, Middle-Eastern islamic fundamentalists have it right.....including the mandatory and enforced freedom for muslim women to be dressed quite modestly in general public view on warm days.
