WHO Pays?

"Jesus Paid It All" - so now we can continue to spend into debt, because Jesus continues to pay it all off Himself?

And we don't need to take our wallets into Walmart to get things, because "Jesus Paid It All?"

Lu 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?

Who needs to count the cost, when "Jesus Pays It All?"

Mt 18:23 "Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants.
24 When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents;
25 and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.'
27 And out of pity for him the lord of that servant released him and forgave him the debt.
28 But that same servant, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and seizing him by the throat he said, 'Pay what you owe.'
29 So his fellow servant fell down and besought him, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you.'
30 He refused and went and put him in prison till he should pay the debt.
31 When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place.
32 Then his lord summoned him and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought me;
33 and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?'
34 And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all his debt.
35 So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

Why do we need to forgive our brothers, when Jesus has already forgiven them?

2Sa 22:21 "The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me.
2Sa 22:25 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight.
Job 27:6 I hold fast my righteousness, and will not let it go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.
Ps 7:8 The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.
Ps 18:20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me.
Ps 18:24 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.

Oh YEAH?

De 9:4 "Do not say in your heart, after the LORD your God has thrust them out before you, 'It is because of my righteousness that the LORD has brought me in to possess this land'; whereas it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD is driving them out before you.

Ec 7:20 Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
1Jo 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Even Jesus was a sinner?

2Co 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Even though He was not a sinner?

1Pe 2:22 He committed no sin; no guile was found on his lips.

Ga 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "Cursed be every one who hangs on a tree"

Never hang on a tree, unless you want to be damned, like Christ was?

Ps 118:14 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Ps 118:21 I thank thee that thou hast answered me and hast become my salvation.
Isa 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."

Jesus has become our salvation, so we no longer need to be saved, and we're now perfect, because no one is perfect, nor can we ever be perfect?

Job 36:4 For truly my words are not false; one who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
Ps 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.
Mt 5:48 You, therefore, must be perfect(?), as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Mt 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect(?), go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
Ac 3:16 And his name, by faith in his name, has made this man strong whom you see and know; and the faith which is through Jesus has given the man this perfect(?) health in the presence of you all.
2Co 7:16 I rejoice, because I have perfect(?) confidence in you.

So we are already "perfect" because Jesus has become our perfection?

Heb 10:14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. But we are NOT "perfect?"

Php 3:12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.

But Christ came to abolish the Law?

Mt 5:17 "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.

But has not Jesus already fulfilled the Law:

Col 2:14 having canceled the bond which stood against us with its legal demands; this he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

So, being "perfect" yet not and never "perfect," we can misdress immodestly in seasonably warm weather and even go nude in public without being arrested for lewd or disorderly conduct and indecent exposure....because Christ has become our modesty and decency?

Joh 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
1Ti 2:9 [ I want ] also that women [ should ] adorn themselves modestly and decently in appropriate apparel.....

Nu 5:18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and unbind the hair of the woman's head.....
Song 7:5 Your head crowns you like Carmel, and your flowing locks are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses.
Your in-private loose-long-hair flowing locks are sensuously and erotically captivating, MY bride! Your in-general-public-view seductive mopheadedness is despicably harassing and obnoxious, whorelike harlot who temporarily belongs to anyone who screws her, like gutterwater.
Pr 5:15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
16 Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?
17 Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you.
18 Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth,
19 a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight, be infatuated always with her love.
20 Why should you be infatuated, my son, with a loose woman and embrace the bosom of an adventuress?
21 For a man's ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he watches all his paths.
22 The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is caught in the toils of his sin.
23 He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is lost.

Don't sweat the small stuff? Don't be legalistic? Don't strain at a gnat? Don't be nitpicky? Don't proof-text? Don't take Scripture out of context? Rightly understand the Word of Truth? Don't be judgmental? Don't be hyprocritical? Don't be condemnatory? Make love, not war? Judge not, lest you be judged? Don't get a hangup on trifles? Don't be holier-than-thou? Don't be obsessed with incidentals? Don't be so dogmatic? Don't be so demanding? Don't be some self-appointed authority? Don't be so self-righteous? Oh yeah.

No "sharing" of the same woman, guys. You gals also keep that in mind! Why advertise should-be-covered bared parts of your body to general public view during seasonably warm weather, gals?

Don't sweat the small stuff? Don't be legalistic? Don't strain at a gnat? Don't be nitpicky? Don't proof-text? Don't take Scripture out of context? Rightly understand the Word of Truth? Give us your opinion, Mr. Flynt? Deceased Falwell is no longer waiting. Where are we when we need you, Bob Guccione? What are the geographical directions to the nearest "Fine Arts" museum full of "priceless" [pornographyic] nude-women sculptures and paintings for all males to see and subtly or nonadmittedly lust at?

1Co 11:13 Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him,
15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her pride? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
16 [ not RSV, NASV, etc. ] If any one is disposed to be contentious, we recognize no such custom, nor do the churches of God.
It is not the custom of the churches of God to accept the custom of a woman presuming that her longer-than-mouth-level loose long hair (not tied up in a bun or chignon, complete covered by a sharf or shawl, or at least tied in a back-of-head ponytail) is adequate as a prayer-shawl or prayer-veil covering.

Jesus has become our righteous modesty, so now we can dress like the Devil?

2Sa 13:18 [ RSV, NASV, etc. ] Now she was wearing a full-length robe with long sleeves; for thus were the virgin daughters of the king traditionally dressed.....

Isa 20:4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians captives and the Ethiopians exiles, both the young and the old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Is 47:1 Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.
2 Take the millstones and grind meal, put off your veil, strip off your robe, uncover your legs, pass through the rivers.
Show your legs uncovered with summertime shortened skirts, half-way-up-the-legs-thighs short shorts, knee-cap-length bermuda shorts, or "swimwear" exposing bared legs.
3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered, and your shame shall be seen. I will take VENGEANCE, and I will spare NO man. Nor woman.

Jer 2:25 [not NIV ] Keep your feet from going unshod and your throat from thirst. But you said, 'It is hopeless, for I have loved strangers, and after them I will go.' No need to cover bare feet with socks under sandals or flip-flops during seasonably warm weather, because "Jesus Paid It All," "Jesus Has Become Our Righteousness," "Jesus Has Become My Modesty" (tell THAT to the arresting antivice cops ready to cite with tickets and fines) and "We Are Saved By Faith, Not Works?"

Ro 4:2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
Ga 2:16 yet who know that a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no one be justified.
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar?
Jas 2:24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Jas 2:25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

2Co 5:4 For while we are still in this tent, we sigh with anxiety; not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Re 16:15 ("Whoa, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his clothing that he may not go naked and be seen exposed!")
Like a thief.

Let's see some springtime bare-biker-and-jogger legs and even showoff big-shot toplessness, guys. You demonic perverts!

Lu 8:27 And as he stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons; for a long time he had worn no clothes, and he lived not in a house but among the tombs.
Mr 5:15 And they came to Jesus, and saw the demoniac sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, the man who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Lu 8:35 Then people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Ho 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with harlots, and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.
Mt 21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
Mt 21:32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him; and even when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.
Goody for the downtown masseuses, pimps, nude stripppers, and escorts listed in Yellow Pages Escort "Services" (or is it instead: shenanigans)? Not to mention the tax-collecting IRS agents?

Ro 7:15 I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

Mr 10:18 And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.
Lu 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?
Lu 18:19 And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. He calls the shots.

Mt 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit.
18 A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Thus you will know them by their fruits.
21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?
' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.'
24 "Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock;
25 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
26 And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;
27 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it."
28 And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,
