LEGEND OF SONG CHUY 213th

The Combat Helicopter Units serving in Republic of Vietnam Air-force
know as Song-Chuy 213th Squadron(Kingstar) base in Da-Nang AFB
Commissioned as 2nd helicopter squadron on 1st October 1961
It was redesignated 213th squadron in January 1963
This squadron flew CH-34A Choctaws and later UH-1H Hueys

213 Squadron carried out several missions in and out Khe-Sanh during 1968,
participated in Operation Lam Son 719 in March 1971 and Operation Cambodia 1972

The last flight commander was Lt.Col.Cao-quang-Khoi
and Co-Commander Maj.Ta Thai
Song-Chuy 213th Squadron was officially disbanded in April 30th 1975

who served and fought with one of the finest fighting units in Vietnam
